Nice historical hotel right in the heart of the Plaza. I didn't realize that parking was extra and fairly expensive but that is probably because parking is limited in Plaza area. However it changed the affordability of the room. The room itself and the floor and lobby were very clean and in great condition for an historic hotel. You could walk easily to the Plaza in 5 minutes.

We love staying at this hotel. We stay about twice a year and every time we stay we are reminded why we choose it. Even the valets are incredible!! Great location and the rooms are big and can fit our family of 4 nicely.

Wanted to stay in KC downtown but there was an event and prices were outrageous so I found this little gem. Great area to walk to restaurants, shopping in a safe, fun environment. Parking was $20, not bad and the hotel itself is 100 years old and very charming. Room was very clean, beds felt great and it was quiet, what else could you ask for.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Right on the Plaza and close drive to Westport, City Market and so much more. I didnt see the price of parking when I booked the hotel so I was surprised to pay $21 a day for an unsecured lot. Rooms don't have USB ports to charge phones. I would stay here again, but some updates to the property would be nice.

The valet was great, explained where the parking was located. A check in male was very rude when I asked where I could get ice, as the machine on my floor was broken. Other staff were great! The motel was very clean and neat, comforable quarters, bed and furnishings.

Check in and check out was very easy. We stayed only Friday night and departed at 7:30 am Saturday morning. Very disappointed that there was no restaurant available on Saturday morning although it was advertised to open at 6:30 am. The room was comfortable and clean but the fan ran constantly and couldn’t be turned off. Also, the bathroom toilet “cycled” almost constantly(room 609). The price was decent compared to other hotels in the area.

I chose this hotel because of its historic character. I found my room drafty, and never received housekeeping. Had to go to the front desk to get coffee packets for in-room coffee. Internet access required signing up for a Marriott benefits package I did not desire. Consequently, I had no interest for doing important business without leaving the hotel -- was my biggest complaint. My overall impression is that this place doesn't take good care of its customers, for the price.

The Hotel did not have a full functioning restaurant as advertised so we had to go elsewhere, although they had a breakfast that was ok, but the person taking orders was having a meltdown with other staff and her issues made things very uncomfortable for the few of us that were around. The guy that checked us in was great but the rest of the staff seemed non-existent. I could not even get someone at the front desk to get an itemized bill when we checked out so I just left my room keys there. The only thing nice was that we were close to the happenings in the country club plaza area so we could walk in 2 minutes ans the suite was a nice size.

Loved the place and location. Friendly staff and very clean. If I had one complaint, it would be trying to read the bottles in the shower.... very hard to read for those of us that wear reading glasses!

Love the historical building and the milk closets. It could use a refresh on the beds, both queens in our room were quite saggy.

When I made reservation 2 months before our stay,whicch was for medical visits for 2 of 5 of us disabled, We showed up and reservation wasn't right, took 3 hours to get straighten up. The room they finally got us into had 1 bed and small, when they saw we had 2 wheelchairs! For a hotel this expensive and on the plaza was absolutely awful. We will NEVER STAY AGAIN OR SUGGEST ANYONE TO IF YOU ARE HANDICAP

The only thing we didn’t like is that there was a window in the shower that looked out to another window in another building. Nothing covered the window so it appeared that the room in the other building had full view of you while taking a shower.

Great location on plaza and easy access and parking. Robert in the lobby bar always a joy. Spacious room. The bed needed to be replaced since before the lunar landing. Soft and with a hole inthe middle the size of the Grand Canyon

It was the perfect location to walk to the Plaza for the Christmas lighting. Our room was spacious and beautiful, the staff was very welcoming and inviting! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great stay except the AC. Set to 67 and it would stay at 70+. Lowered it to 65 and room was at 61.

It was a very nice room and hotel. My only complaint is for the price, a free breakfast buffet would be nice. Or if they can't offer that, they should at least offer a resturant instead of a bar with limited sitting. For the price of the breakfast meals, it should be served on real dishes instead of paper or stryofoam containers.

Overall, the hotel was fine, but our car was broken into overnight, directly across the street from the hotel. And although the hotel obviously can't control that parking area, they advised us that it was safe to park there. They also admitted a car was actually stolen the week before. Unfortunately, the police also told us their valet option doesn't appear to be much better. They (the police) said they have responded to multiple valet parking incidents, and the parking facility has no cameras.

The property needs a revamp and thorough daily cleaning of common areas. TV clickers checked to see if they work. Front bar open with a bartender that engages. Security monitoring property including outside front patio. Strange person out there at 330 am. Pot and wood smoke in middle of the night coming into room. Yuck.

I only stayed one night as we went to the baseball game on Sat. but we stayed here before. It is close to the shops and restaurants. It's always a good experience.

I loved this hotel! Convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The beds were super comfortable, and we had a nice view of the park. Chuy’s great Mexican restaurant was a few steps away. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice enough for an old building. Not the cleanest, there were short black hairs all around the bathroom counter and shower and there was a hang tag on the floor which made it seem like the room may not have been vacuumed. The sink was cracked and there was what looked like foundation splattered on the wall in the bathroom. These things just seemed like simple fixes that could easily have made the room nicer. It was also a surprise that we had to pay for parking in order to park in their parking lot.

The bar was never staffed, came in on Saturday around 8pm, and wanted to visit with our friends and have a drink but the bar wasn't open.
The Air Conditioners might need some maintenance and updating. The heat outside was excessive, I understand this, but the room temp was 10 degrees higher that what the thermostat was set at.
We did not get any room cleaning despite having the room available all day for cleaning.

The accommodations were comfortable after moving to a different room. The first rooms bed was too soft. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not working. Only in the lobby. We were there for over a week, so my personal Wi-Fi was charged due to being out of area. We purchased breakfast that was prepared in the lobby bar a few times. The bartenders were nice and prepared our drinks as requested. We were allowed to use the restaurant on a floor below the lobby for a family gathering, which we appreciated. It was nice to be within walking distance of the Country Club Plaza for dining
