Quaint and rustic especially if you go out back and enjoy the stream! Would have been happier if there had been a mini fridge and some kind of breakfast but the description when we booked the room was accurate.

Small, dark room with paper thin walls.
Not even coffee available in the room on on premises.
Could hear every word from room next door. Every time room next door opened or closed door our room shook. Got woken up by talking/doors etc. next door prior to 6:00 am.
Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

I really loved how peaceful and quiet it was. The cabin was very clean, especially the beddings. Usually in hotels/cabins I find a hair or a spot on the bedding but not here. Would come again!

About what we expected from a rustic property. Heat was by only electric baseboards that were either on (hot) or off (cold).

Front desk clerk super friendly and helpful. Only “bummer” was no breakfast. Kitchenette was small, had a single burner, pans, and enough dishes for everyone! It was a great little cabin did the job very nicely. Parking next to the cabin so didn’t have to walk far. Recommend and would/will stay here again.

The Virginian was very charming and comfortable. They were very nice and easy going while checking in and gave us some good local restaurant suggestions.

Nothing fancy... humorous that they use the term "resort" in their title. But it works for a decent price.

This is a cool place to stay. Close to town, and right on the river. That being said this is a rustic resort. If you are looking for a rustic, clean and cool place to stay this is it.

The Virginian is in a great spot. Easy walk to town on the trail. There’s a level 2 EV charger at the very good pizza place next door. Nice outdoor areas. Rustic cabins. The “big” bed in our cabin was very small and would not really be suited for a couple.

It was a unique place to stay, if not a bit dated. Staff were friendly and property well maintained.

I like having the privacy of my own cottage. Very few guests at the moment so it’s quiet. Road noise not so great. Grounds are nice with lots of room to walk my dog. I’d come back.

Very cozy little cabin. We just had an overnight stay and it was perfect for our needs. It was a great half-way point on our travels from Seattle through the North Cascades Park to Leavenworth.

Was led to believe would have cozy cabin instead small 12x12 room in 2 story 4 plex with thin walks so had to listen to neighbors tv and talking hardly room to turn around and get dressed!

Not walkable to town,tv wouldn’t work,no coffee pot, shower was very unstable good thing about it was it was very quit.

I have stayed at the Virginian many times. It is quaint, clean, affordable, comfortable and a short walk into town.

the bathroom was very small. with a wheel chair, it was a bit too small, but we managed. the hotel staff were very friendly. i would stay here again though.

The rustic look, cleanliness, and nice people at desk. The electrical outlets can use some fixing. We ended up having to use the power strip under the desk. Otherwise, we liked our stay and will be back;

Overall, I like the place. It feels like a small log cabin. I got the cheap room and it does not have a coffee maker, microwave or fridge. The bathroom is also very small; the shower is not a tub. If these things are important to you, you need a higher priced room. The room is clean and quiet. I do feel safe here. There is no breakfast. Staff was great. Yes, I would stay here again.

Hi this place its out side of the town just 4 minutes...
the place it's very cozy has a big property with huge place to play with kids.

There are limited choices in Winthrop and the Virginian is located not far from town. It is very rustic with outdated facilities. The bathrooms and furnishings are very much in need of updating. Most annoying was the low shower head making it difficult to even wash your face in the shower. It was clean and the front desk staff was friendly.
