Overall stay was awesome! The staff members were friendly. The breakfast had a variety of options. Lake Junaluska is breathtaking! The only negative our shower didn’t drain properly. We stood in ankle deep water. Our room was 1635 in the Terrace.

We had an amazing stay. The new was nice and clean and the staff was so pleasant. I highly recommend anyone to stay here. Also, the view is outstanding!

Just happened to run across this and decided it was a nice break after the crowded places we had stayed the previous few weeks. Very tranquil.

The staff is what will bring us back here when we come back to the area again. Breakfast was ok but it was included so cant complain about it too much. Wish there were more options. Location was great to all the great places to eat and play. And still close enough to Asheville to enjoy what the city has to offer.

The hotel appears recently updated. It was super clean and comfortable. The staff were all quite friendly. There was a breakfast buffet. We were there during a very slow time, so not sure how it would be during busy times, but we would definitely go back. The grounds of the lake are beautiful and peaceful.

The staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and breakfast was like a real hot breakfast should be with a buffet and beautiful lake views from the dining hall. Highly recommend this special stop!

When I viewed this property on Expedia, it failed to mention that is was a "religious compound". My husband and I felt scrutinized by other guests. It was extremely uncomfortable. Our check in time was 4pm. We arrived at 4pm. Our room was NOT ready until after 6pm. The ladies at the front desk were NOT friendly or able to do their jobs. The place was clean, but sterile. The view was beautiful, but there is a strange feeling you get when you are there. It NEEDS to be advertised as a RELIGIOUS COMPOUND for religious groups. I would NOT recommend it.

Great location next to lake view

The hotel is clean, but the beds are not comfortable and there was a persistent noise all night (probably from a big facility-level air conditioner).
They also advise the things they don't have. I planned to have my birthday dinner there, but their restaurant is not working; the pool is closed and it's not even a hotel pool, it's just a community pool 5 min walk from the hotel. It's just misleading to advertise what they don't have.

Lake Junaluska is beautiful. The Terrace Hotel is very nice. We enjoyed our view overlooking the lake. The staff is awesome and people are so friendly. Lots to do, including walking around the lake and kayaking. We will be back. 😊

We booked at the Terrace Inn, but we were moved to the Lambuth Inn upon arrival. “Due to a glitch” in the system our room wasn’t available. Once we were settled in at the Lambuth Inn, we were forced out the room due to an ant invasion. Our new room came with used wash clothes hanging in the shower and a dirty bathtub with leftover soap. Apparently housekeeping had marked the room as ready before it was completely clean. To add insult to injury, we had to drive back to the Terrace Inn for breakfast each morning, which ended at 9:00 in the morning. I contacted the manager with no response. Needless to say, we won’t book at either of these places again.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful surroundings and friendly service oriented staff

No room service. No restaurant. No daily room cleaning. No closeby restaurant. The only plus point is on the lake. It feels like living in a church ad you are bombsrded by religious symbols and messages everywhere.

Nice place no worry of theives like our last motel.

The big issue with this property was parking. I ran into a situation where we couldn't find a parking space at the hotel, nor anywhere along the road to the hotel. It is in somewhat of a gated type community. I was able to speak to a guest services guy that helped me solve the problem by giving me a parking spot in a reserved space, but I personally would hesitate to stay here again. It's a shame, because it is a really nice property!

This property was a nice surprise to us. We had a really bad stay at another inn in Maggie Valley, so the staff at Lake Junaluska got very upset and soaking wet guests dumped on them late at night. The Front Desk staff at Lake Junaluska was great, They got us in a upper floor Lake view room and had extra towels delivered then called to make sure we were fine throughout our stay. The entire complex made us feel safe and well taken care of.
Would highly recommend staying The Terrace at Lake Junaluska. Rooms are great, staff is great and surroundings are beautiful.

1. Very friendly and helpful staff. Facility in a tranquil setting.
2. Well maintained grounds.
3. Surrounding area gorgeous; located in Great Smokey Mountains.
4. Christian feel with a family safe and friendly atmosphere.
5. Boat tour relaxing, informative amongst a serene setting on the lake.
Improvements:
1. Garbage dumpster in area where guests arrive and depart. Dumpster overflowing with trash.
2. Large amount of hair and dead bugs in the pool.
3. Non lakeside of hotel views unappealing
4. Better coordination with free breakfast which was included in the room but required inquiry and made us feel awkward.
Overall an excellent experience; we plan on returning in the fall.

Beautiful location and view. Older resort hotel that was originally Methodist but now hosts other Christian retreats and conferences. However while there were reminders of that in the public areas, I did not feel any kind of pressure or preaching. Front desk clerks were friendly. Nice big public areas inside and out for viewing the lake vista.
The room itself was pretty small, as was the bathroom. The desk and chair were very basic, but having a small couch did make it more comfortable. The view of course was awesome and helped to make up for that. Fridge worked, although there was some food left in the freezer section. AC was ok, but being a small room, meant it blew air onto the bed a bit. The door that led to another room's door to make it an adjoining room could not be locked from my side, which was a little disconcerting. Shower water was just barely lukewarm in early evening, but hot in the morning.
Just there for a 1-night stay. Dining option on site is just breakfast, I believe (did not use that), but a 5-10 minute drive in a few directions gives other options, including a 24-hour Waffle House. Ice machine not centrally located, all the way at one end of the long building (of course I was on the far opposite side).
Overall the view and proximity to the lake were the selling point that made me choose this over another, newer hotel with more amenities.

Relaxing. Disappointing no housekeeping services
