The Residence Inn by Marriott is in an excellent location in the Entertainment district in Toronto, close to shopping, entertainment, and plenty of great restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and the fitness room, pool, and included hot breakfast buffet are top notch amenities. Our studio King suite was amazing! A full kitchen with full sized fridge, a two-burner stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle, single-serve coffee maker, and a dishwasher (!!). Also all the plates, cutlery, dish soap and cleaning supplies, bowls, pots and pans, and knives were there for use. This room was huge, with a King sized bed, a two room bathroom (sink and mirror just outside of the area with the toilet and tub/shower), a full sized sofa bed in the spacious sitting area, small breakfast table, large TV on a "lazy susan" topped dresser so it can swivel to be watched in bed or on the sofa, and a desk for a computer work space. Lots of lighting and outlets for the things we plug in, as well as plenty of closet and drawer space for garments. All of this at similar cost to a simple King bed room at other hotels in this general vicinity. Given all the extra space, amenities, and included breakfast, we will stay at the Residence Inn from now on when we are in this area!

A good experience, the morning breakfast could use a little more variety throughout the week, and overall the room was comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

Nice room with a well stocked little kitchenette. Good breakfast options. Pool is pretty basic but nice to splash around in with the family.

Great breakfast choices

The staff were lovely. Everyone greeted us, even in the elevator or hallway. The valet parking was quick and efficient. Mike at the door patiently explained my options and convinced me this was a treat I deserved. Breakfast was delicious and the option to take it back up to the room was perfect. AND the mattress was amazing! Best sleep in a while. I am doing some research to see if I can get one for home.Thanks for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay, the team working at the hotel were lovely and the location is great. The mattress on pull out couch in the room was not in great condition.

I stayed at the Residence Inn for two weeks and it felt like home! The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The room was a studio with a kitchen and it was nicely furnished, seemed like recently renovated with a new 55” TV. Absolutely loved everything about the hotel and the location is perfect. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

Credit card taken at check in. Told it was for incidentals. No Mention of $250 deposit which now appears in our card.

Great property right downtown close to CN Tower and Rogers center. Highly recommended!

It was great!

Location was good, that was about it, they were polite receiving us but extremely rude checking us out. We were in town for an event. The hotel room is dated. The room was cold I tried several times to open and close the window with the latches but the breeze lessened a bit but the seal is ruined I mentioned it. Along with the bed is hard as a rock.. I like a firm bed, but dang. Toilet took minimum 3 to 4 min to stop running after each flush sometimes more. The tub is 1970 shallow no bath happening here. Left side of the closet.. Nope not hanging any close on that side. Door wouldn't slide. The first night thought we might grab a hot tub. That might have been nice if we could actually have the had water levels go below our chest. As well as have water be more than Luke warm. The tub up there was brutal and so old. Not to mention going in and out my husband slipped on their floor tiles are super slippery.. Not what you want around a pool areas. Just walking. We were disappointed being there for a mini getaway that hotel could careless either. When the manager was told about the concerns he basically looked at me like I had two heads. Alright. We'll we won't be staying at a Marriott again. We travel plenty. The early eighties called they'd like their decor back. At least update being downtown. So you can justify paying the price you charge.

Breakfast was outstanding!

Excellent response from hotel, with email requests for any special requirements (we had none). Staff were very friendly and check-in. No problems. Main lobby is a bit cramped. Oh well. Rooms were excellent and very generous in size. Everything was clean and well kept.

Our familyvif 5 liked that it was wasy walking to great restaurants like PAI and the lakeshore and TIFF cinema. The 2 bedroom suite was spaciois and well laid out.

Everything was great! It was great they had several gluten free options and the food selections all around was awesome! It was great they had a small bar to order a drink. The staff was so helpful navigating the city and offering great restaurants to try!

The hotel is very handy for events in downtown Toronto (e.g. Scotiabank Arena) within walking distance. Check-in was easy. Our room was great, very clean, comfortable and well appointed for our overnight need. I was concerned that one phone in our room always rang busy trying to call reception, or housekeeping. The second bedside phone did not have dial tone. There is a phone beside the elevator on our floor (20) and it did not work at all either. This should be looked into for safety concerns. The included breakfast was good but the eating area was very tightly packed with tables and post-COVID, we did not want to be sitting close to large groups of people. If there was a better option for taking food back to our room (such as take-away recyclable containers not plates, glassware) we would have opted to pick up and take back to our room

Valet service was outstanding. The english gentleman (valet) was outstanding. Oh i can not forget about the bartender. He was so helpful amazing service. Keep up the wonderful work. These 2 gentleman would be the reason for our return and recommendations to friends and family.
