Wifi didn’t work, shower incredibly small, had to pay for parking, and restaurant closed part of the time.

The room was poorly designed. The bathroom is reasonably large for a motel, but the layout is terrible. Only one basic chair in the room on arrival. $20 per night for parking at a suburban hotel is unreasonable, and there was no prior indication of this

Air conditioning didn’t work in the room. Room was constantly at 25.5c and couldn’t bring the temperature down despite having the cooling set low for the two night stay.

Lots of good eateries

Basic hotel. Understaffed. Shower door couldn’t be closed. Slow service. No wine glasses in room. Terrible view.

The property was decently kept, the staff was very helpful. Food and mall in walkable distance from facilities.

Good spot, lots to eat around

Convenient location close to shops, train and The Glen shopping centre. Rooms clean, bed comfortable, ample space, big windows with block out curtains, has iron, hair dryer and tea / coffee facilities. No complaints and would happily stay here again.

Value for money

Everything was OK, but there was some room service plates in the hall way, when I arrived on Thursday afternoon, they were still there when I left Sunday morning.

The room was lovely and staff very helpful

Clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, but also great for the price. I love the 24 hour reception, the parking area was underground and spacious (but cost extra), and the room was neat and tidy. Everything worked as expected, except that there was a price list for the mini bar on the counter in the room, but the fridge was empty and there was no sign of snacks :( Will stay here again.

Terrible service. Our room did not have adequate bedding for our booking. The staff member, I believe would have been aware of this upon check in, as the staff member was familiar with the room configuration, and read details of our booking during check in. When I returned to the front desk, the staff member offered my multiple 'reason' as to why, none of which were due to the staff member's error. I was told a another bed would be made uo in our room. Then I received a call to the room that we would have to come back to reception to pick up another room key to another room. Later that evening I needed to go back to reception looking for water, there wasn't any in the fridge (or anything else) I was required to purchase the water. On check out, I was stuck at parking gate unable to exit parking, despite having a card. When the gate was finally lifted, I was unable to check out and return card as there was no one at the desk, and the front entrance was locked despite bing told the night before that the hotel has someone on the around the clock.

Really

This hotel is conveniently located near multiple dining options, shopping and entertainment. It is located far enough out of the center of Melbourne that you do not have the issues of getting around, however is close enough to access what you need within a couple of minutes' drive. There is secure onsite, undercover parking with elevator access. The hotel is clean and quiet, offers onsite dining and the staff are extremely helpful and polite.

Staff were lovely but room could have been a little cleaner especially around the high area’s such as the wardrobe and shower area. Also aircon wouldn’t heat up to desired temp.

Lift & room swipe mechanisms need to be changed. Apparently a recurring problem due to age of these mechanisms. Annoying to have to keep going back to Reception to get alternative swipe cards that MIGHT work. Would be a much more pleasant stay if these were changed.

Had a great stay at Ibis, it had everything you needed, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly.

I was thinking my stay was going ok, the bed was really comfy. Main issue, let’s rephrase that major issue was when I’d just got out the shower and was near the bed getting dressed at 850am and without a knock or warning a worker opens the door with keys quicker than I could say anything and just sees me naked. All she says is sorry and I’ll come back. Go to reception and complain and all they did was say sorry and offer me late check out. How does being violated by a worker just walking into my room way before check out time uninvited whilst I’m buck naked only warrant a sorry and offer of late check out? Might be ok for 2 males but not for this female that expects to be safe in a hotel room and not be violated, there’s a reason why people pay a decent amount of money hoping they are staying in a safe establishment. Not here it’s not. I’ve waited a few days to post this hoping I wouldn’t be so enraged but it’s still playing on my mind how much the 2 men at the front desk dismissed me.

Clean, convinient location

I booked a night here last minute with tired kids in tow and was so happy we accidentally found this place. Staff made everything really easy, it was very clean. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was very good!
