Beautiful resort, spacious rooms surrounded by nature. The food is 👌 we’re so happy we chose Blue Diamond for our honeymoon!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time at the Blue Diamond. It was a nice, relaxing getaway vacation. As others have said, this is a good place if you want to disconnect from a busy life and have some peace and quiet; not a party resort. I just wouldn't call it a 5 star hotel. The bed was quite hard and there were a few things damaged (like a patio chair). The spa was a bit disappointing too, as the sauna was barely hot, the hammam wasn't working, and the pool was cold. Positives were really excellent food and very kind workers/good service. It was also fun to wake up and see monkeys in the trees just outside our suite and other wildlife around the resort. So overall, a very nice place to vacation, but expect more of a 3-star hotel quality rooms/amenities.

Our room was great. There were only 3 restaurants but the food was amazing. Nothing to do in the evenings though unless you plan your own excursions. We didn’t mind because we just wanted to chill out and relax. There is a spa and a cenote too. Overall we couldn’t find anything to complain out. Wonderful stay!

We stayed for 5 days at the Blue diamond!!!! Staff was EXCELLENT!!!! Food was INCREDIBLE, and the environment was PERFECT to relax.

Our stay overall was excellent. It was exactly what we were looking for, a smaller, quiet, all inclusive hotel. The food quality was excellent, the staff and service were also exceptional. The location in the jungle and around the cenote/lagoon was unique and cool! The only comment we have for improvement is the property does need a minor reno. The design and architecture are still very much on point, but there has been some wear and tear that needs attention. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quieter, more secluded vacay, and would stay here again!

The service was superior! A great stay!

We stayed at the Blue Diamond for just under a week in February. I was a bit apprehensive from some of the reviews and considering how much we were spending, but the resort exceeded our expectations. Of course some areas of the hotel seems a bit worn, but it's a resort next to the ocean, so what did you expect? The staff and the service made up for everything... everyone was extremely helpful and beyond amazing and we would definitley stay here again.

The property is a unique tranquil stay with its natural beauty. The staff and services were excellent. My wife and I enjoyed our time there. Our only negative was that the dining experience fell short of the overall ambience of the property. We traveled in February and though the property was not at capacity the service seemed slow. As if they were under staffed. Soups that should have been served hot were served lukewarm. Neither of us felt that the food experience matched the amazing natural wonder of being in such a peaceful environment. Our room was spacious and the view of the lush greenier was calming. We had a very partial view of the cenote. We even saw a monkey in the trees, going about it's day. The property does provides bicycles to ride to the beach or other areas on the property which we did on several occasions. But golf carts are primarily use to get you from one place to the other. The longest we had to wait for a driver was about 5 minutes. They can seat 4 to 6 passengers. We did reserve a cenote tour which was awesome. We also reserved a massage service in the spa. Eventhough I received one of the best massages ever, the ambience was not on par with other spas. There was not an option to choose if you wanted a sport massage or target a specific muscle. The waiting area was not that relaxing, and once inside there was no real area designated to hang your clothes. But my wife and I agreed that the masseuses were excellent. Overall we truly enjoyed Blue Diamond

This property was wonderful. The staff was incredible. They answered every question and need we had. The views were beautiful from the rooms and the beach. The staff were kind and friendly. The property is somewhat spread out so golf carts are used to transport people. They were always available and often waiting on us after dinner or to take us to the beach. The rooms are huge, with nice rainforest views. The property is laid back and quiet. No loud parties or music if you prefer a more relaxing stay. The food was excellent. We loved everything we tried and their service was prompt and friendly. The rooms are a little dated but that doesn’t bother us at all. The showers were huge and the water always very hot. Housekeeping cleaned and replaced items in our room and drink cabinet daily. We felt safe and pampered on our vacation to the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique. We will book this resort again.

This was our second stay in 6 months. We’ve experienced both the quiet off season & the busier winter season. Both were 10/10. We will continue to come back. The staff is great, the amenities are perfect & the food is amazing. This is a relaxed environment with an older clientele. We LOVE Blue Diamond the most! They nail it every time.

Room was clean, quiet and peaceful-just what I needed! The property is unique and I loved being able to ride a bike or walk around to explore the different art installations on my way to the beach or spa. I appreciated that it wasn’t a party-type atmosphere trying to force any specific vibe. The resort drew adults of all ages and backgrounds and I appreciated that staff made golf carts service available to ensure everyone could enjoy the grounds with ease. The spa area had a separate pool/sun deck area for use wrought a booking, which provided a great break when the wind kicked up or when I wanted a little more solitude. The treatments were wonderful! The amenities like the steam room and gym were a bit outdated and could use an update, but nonetheless provided all I wanted! Service was wonderful the first few days, but mid stay, things seemed to lag and I was brought the wrong food or ignored completely. Everyone was so kind, but there just wasn’t enough staff as the guest count increased. Staff works really hard though, so I never said anything. The resort is lovely, just needs a little updating and maintenance. I would certainly book again!

The property is beautiful! I like the tranquility and peace in this resort!! The staff were very attentive and friendly. However, the resort needs some updates in construction, like shower water fixes. Everything else was amazingly relaxing! Thank you!!

I love the quietness and tranquility of the place, if you're looking to relax this place is wonderful for that. The hotel is very beautiful, however, it is a little dated and it needs significant improvement in some areas. The staff were all very courteous and helpful however it lacks quickness at all meal times in their restaurants. The suite I got had issues with the toilet during my whole stay and that was definitely not very nice. Overall a nice, beautiful, quiet place that needs TLC. Also, crocodiles may be dangerous when they loose man fear, that made me a bit uncomfortable.

This was our second trip to Blue Diamond, and while reading through reviews prior to our trip we were skeptical of returning because of the bad reviews since our last trip 5 years ago. Well let me put some things in perspective for you, Yes this place is worn down a bit but so am I, it’s to be expected in the rainforest and being a oceanfront resort, Water and humidity are brutal on most everything but the staff works hard keeping it looking beautiful. The food was delicious, and portions were just the right size as to not gain a ton of weight on vacation but I still managed to gain a few pounds, a few of my favorites were the Lamb skewers and the lasagna.This is not a party resort but more a restful and relaxing experience to just unwind form the hectic thing we call life,but they do have some nightly entertainment that was very nice, The beach was very clean although you will see some (not much) sea grass wash up on shore but the staff is out there cleaning it all up, you can walk this beach for miles in both directions too if your a beach walker which we are. I believe we clocked about 60 miles during our week stay. There is lots of wildlife to see coati’s, lots of beautiful birds, and even a few crocodile which in no way whatsoever were even a problem as they kept to themselves in areas they have clearly marked, housekeeping did an awesome job, as well as the servers. Now, My biggest complaint was the bed, it was a very firm bed but some people love firm beds THANK YOU!

This property should not be a 5 star rated resort.. i experienced extreme prejudice. I was talked to and treated like someone they didn't want on their property. I felt very discriminated against by the owner himself and his family/ friend. I will be filing a formal complaint Housekeeping entered my room 2 times after hours as i was traveling alone.. which is the reason why i was treated in that way. The TV never worked, the bed was uncomfortable and its not quality!!! For the price, food was mediocre and alcohol isn't top shelf, all inclusive drinks are lack luster. Please do not stay here

Peaceful

Regrettably, our experience at the supposed VIP and Luxury resort fell short of our expectations. Despite the anticipation of a premium stay, we found the overall atmosphere lacking the promised sophistication. The dining experience was marred by delays, with orders at the restaurant arriving untimely and service that seemed lackadaisical. Comparing our stay to other resorts and hotels we've enjoyed, this particular establishment failed to match the level of satisfaction we've come to expect. The promised VIP treatment felt more like a distant concept than a reality. Even the spa, intended as a sanctuary of relaxation, left us wanting. The massage, meant to be a highlight, failed to meet the envisioned standard. Additionally, the transportation system within the resort proved inefficient, with the carts frequently failing to arrive promptly. In reflection, our overall impression is far from favorable. If compelled to assign a rating, a generous 2.5 out of 5 would be our assessment. It's disheartening when a destination with such potential fails to deliver the expected luxury and leaves guests longing for a more gratifying experience.

The property is nice. Small. Not a lot of food options for all inclusive. The staff was very friendly. However they did not communicate well. If they were there in front of you they would do anything. If you tried to call the front desk and order anything like carts food umbrellas taxis etc you had to follow up several times. I would probably not stay here again for this reason. Nice spacious rooms. But attention to detail from staff primarily front of house was severely lacking.

The property is in bad shape. Room didn’t have air conditioning or hot water. Only about half the resort is open. Had to walk to reception every day with broken room key. Staff did nothing to make up for all the problems. I would never stay at Blue Diamond again.

The attitude of the staff throughout was excellent. We booked as gold members and this was a VIP exclusive hotel, they said no upgrades were available but we found out the hotel had 35 guests and throughout our stay it was empty. They just didn’t want to do it. Similarly applying the spa discount for VIP exclusive was a hassle. No service at the beach like our last stay. Great food, excellent service when we got it. Been 3 times, not sure we would go back.

This property is AMAZING. Blue Diamond Resort gave me everything I needed. This all-inclusive resort I found was the same as a swim up pool suite at another resort, but I chose the serenity of the latter. I was in the junior suite, but it was HUGE! Each room is super private and has a plunge pool. I was in my bday suit most of the time and no one could see me. The double shower walks out to the plunge pool. It was great laying out, until night. The beach is quite a distance from the villas, but close to the townhouses. I either took a bike ride or golf cart to the beach. The restaurants, pools & bars are on the beach. There are activities available and a spa, Room service is available 24 hours. Food was decent and the drinks were strong. This place is perfect for a chill vacation or baecation. I want to do 4 or 5 days next time and stay a Tuesday night because they have a Mayan Dining Experience I would love to see it. Glad I brought no work with me, so could just chill.

All the staff are amazing people we loved the hotel and everything there is a complete different experience the way this hotel is built you feel in the middle of the jungle with all the convenience
