Perfect escape to the coast. It was a last minute decision to go for a coastal break with the dog. The staff were very welcoming and had the room set up beautifully to make us feel at home. The dog had her own bed waiting for her, along with a treats pack 😊

Sadly not the experience we had hoped for.

What a family friendly hotel. Would definitely recommend to others with young children and so close to the beach too! From soft play, to the cinema, swimming and milk and a biscuit in the evening what more could you ask for. Only thing I would do next time is ask for a room thats not dog friendly. Very clean though and lovely child friendly products in the bath too.

2nd Stay for and this is an absolute gem if you have kids and want a relaxing stay. Clean, friendly and completely focused on kids so it’s absolutely ideal - close to fistral beach and amazingly clean and friendly- we will be back

Nice hotel lovely room overlooking the beach.
Don’t book this hotel during half term or school holidays unless you have children 🙁

On arrival the outside of the building looks a bit tired, but it looks like it's been refurbished recently to a very high standard. The room and public areas all very nice.
Great service from the reception staff

Great staff made to feel really welcome. We would happily stay here again to take advantage of the surfing schools nearby. Whilst we didn't have breakfast the food looked incredible and it was only a short walk into town to have an evening meal. Again lots of options for evening meal and very happy with our stay overall.

The reception team was very friendly.
The rooms are very small compared to what they look in pictures. The bed was very uncomfortable however the view was great if you wish to take Seaview room.
Parking is a major problem if you want to park at hotel only have 11 spaces which are usually packed. Cars parked on double yellow and very narrow street
Breakfast was average not much options and same menu everyday

Great Location and Very Clean.
Only downslide was the very noisy passageways. Sound carries through quite a lot.

Tired tiny rooms that are overpriced. Kids running everywhere little insulation between floors means youre woken in the early hours. Fridge in room was warm/not working and view was a nasty courtyard but still so expensive.
Fine if your a family but avoid for couples or business . Long walk to town but good for beach. Little or no pArking

Had a great 3 night stay, staff are all so genuinely nice, friendly and helpful. We parked easily and left the car until checkout as can walk everywhere.Room was spotless as was everywhere in hotel and the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna was an unexpected treat we had to ourselves early each morning .Really cannot fault anything and will definitely be back. It’s in the best area to see the best of that part of the coast and the walk from there to Perranporth is stunning

very hard to find a parking spot nearby in the peak hours and hotel charges 15 pounds per night for limited parking spaces.

We had a wonderful stay in a gorgeous room with the best sea view we’ve ever had! The room was so clean and in excellent condition.
A couple of things I’d like to see improved would be separating the kids play area from the eating area during mealtimes because it felt at times like we were sat in a crèche. I have children myself who are teens now, but even when they were younger I would not have allowed them to scream and run about whilst people are trying to enjoy their meal. There is a partition there, it’s just left open across the whole room! So it would be great if this was pulled across or if there was a separate dining time when the play area is open and at other times it could be closed.
I was also pleased to see so many gluten free options as my son and I are coeliac. I wouldn’t recommend the roasted cauliflower steak however, as that was a slither of cauliflower, a quarter of an onion and a few potatoes! All white with no green veg and £15! They did change the meal for me and the sea bass was delicious. The table staff were really lovely. Especially the lovely lady with blue hair whose name I didn’t get, sorry! She’s only just started but she was so friendly and helpful.
The pool is small and a little cold, and the water in the hot tub was brown! The steam room and changing facilities were great.
I love the reception area and the dining room view! Simply stunning.
Overall we would stay again but definitely not during the kids holidays!

As a family of four, we had a great stay at the hotel. All the staff were helpful and friendly.
We stayed over a bank holiday for 3 nights, visited Lappa Valley and Eden Project on separate days… highly recommended!
Food was of a high quality, pool was convenient, location was fantastic!
Faye in the restaurant was especially great!
Definitely will be visiting again!

Excellent sea view (strongly recommend a room with a balcony), cocktail bar is a nicely finished setting (albeit very quiet when we visited), fistral bay is across the road and newquay is walkable from the hotel.

Great family night away, children were very well catered for which helped us relax even more.

Recently renovated however they took shortcuts that made the overall experience unpleasant.
The bed was uncomfortable, bouncy, the mattress was open coil.
Super thin walls indoors and outdoors uneven floors resulted in a super noisy experience.
Curtains were insufficient as the light was entering the room.
No safety box
The wifi kept disconnecting, ended up using 4G services. Raised it to reception but nothing changed.
No ac
No thermostat water
£20 for a starndard breakfast
So overall expensive for what it offers.

It is in a beautiful location. We paid for a room upgrade and it was quite a tired room. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together and was a bit of a nightmare as one of us ended up falling between then constantly. We had a patch of paint peeling off the wall, the lift had a loose tile on the floor and was generally quite dirty. The hotel cocktail bar was supposed to open at 4 then at 445 we were told it was now 5 due to staff levels. We thought we would go swimming before dinner but the pool was full of locals who had paid to use it not guests so we were refused entry. When we did use the pool the 2nd day the hot tub water was filthy.
Not what we expected for a 4* hotel.

Good points . Hotel is in lovely position by fistrel beach. Staff friendly. Bed comfortable had a balconey sea view room woke up to sound of waves resturant serves excellent food. Clean room.
Bad points. You have to pay 50.00 depodit when you get your room key you are told youll get it back but i am yet to recieve it after5 days. Then when you leave you still have to pay any other bills you have incrued they give you a invoice which shows what you have accrued but does not show up the deposit you put down . So therefore you pay over the odds. Room had a funny smell when entering so had to open door to get rid of it. Room was cold but radiators didnt seem to want to work offered a small heater but you think of the amount of money paid you could have the radiators on .overall lovely hotel but to get a parking space guarenteed you have to pay 15.00 per night to get a reserved parking space. Or else its take your chance or try and park on road in front of hotel overall will not stay here again as u have to pay the deposit. I know of no other hotel that does this .

Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is in a lovely -lace, it’s well maintained and clean but…. Being told you have to book an exact time for breakfast the second you arrive, have to pay an additional deposit for ‘expenses’ of £100 and have a room as hot as a steam room with screaming baby next door to keep you up, kind of takes the edge of things. Zero consideration for COVID safety.. absolutely none. This COULD be a love,y hotel, just need to change the attitude of reception staff, treat COVID serious;y, don’t take additional monies for customers who expressly stated they didn’t want dinner…. Hold their money for over 4 days after they left.. and sorted out the heating and noise.. stay there again… no chance on earth

The hotel was in a lovely position but our hotel room was at the back of the hotel where the bar opens on to a small outside patio. The room was very hot so we had to have windows open to hear swearing and arguing so much so that we decided to leave the following day instead of staying the 2 nights booked. It was a family room and our children could hear clearly what was being said outside. We told the staff the next day but they said we should have sought out the Night Porter. We won’t be returning.
