Well my daughter went to get toothpaste because I forgot it and apparently you allow pets and the people left them and they somehow opened the door and pooped in the hall and as my daughter was walking by she smelled it and looked up and the dog came after her. She was running and she seen a little girl alone in the hall and then the mom in a doorway. She scooped her up and handed her to the mom and ran out the door to outside. That family helped corral the dogs and then walked her OUTSIDE to the office. The family was kicked out I guess but the baby got bit on the hand and my daughter scooped her and she got her heel nipped. She is not hurt but it was scary for her. The front desk escorted her a different elevator to go up away from the dogs.

Very nice, clean rooms and proactively pet-friendly hotel. Provided a flyer with nearby pet stores, services, etc. Lots of greenspace for our dogs on and nearby the property. Great breakfast! Room/furnishings showing some signs of age.

The hotel staff were very kind and friendly. The breakfast was perfect. This weekend the hotel was booked and had a lot of wrestlers. Our floors were sticky and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Other than those things everything was great.

One of the best hotels around Decatur area. Really clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast. All around a great experience.

The room was beautiful and perfect for our family of 6. We hade a 2 bedroom reasonably priced. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Kids had the pool all to themselves. Pool area was clean. Hotel itself was very clean.

Great service. We had a stopped up toilet, and the manager of the place fix! Loved the Wednesday night get together with free beer a wine and hors d’oeuvres. Great place to say highly recommended

Our stay at Homewood Suites - Forsyth was wonderful! The staff is amazing and the hotel is beautiful! My only complaint is the garbage for the dining area was not marked and everyone staying there was left ok’ing for the garbage cans.

The staff was friendly until the evening shift when I discovered mold in my room I asked to be moved and never heard back. Cleanliness was not good, shower was dirty towels were dirty. Bed didn’t seem to have clean sheets Breakfast area looked like a disaster in the morning. I would make reservations elsewhere definitely not worth the money.

Great stay, friendly staff, great location. Free breakfast was also nice. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub... aside from the screaming kids in there which nobody did anything about, it was a great stay.

There are few options for suites in Decatur so this is our "go to". Great breakfast but scrambled eggs should be standard not in a rotation. Rooms are nice, beds are beyond needing to be replaced.

We come to Forsyth every year for the last 5 years and have tried two other hotels and nothing compares to Homewood Suites. Besides the cleanliness and food, the staff is what makes it feel like you are home with family.

The Homestead in Forsyth, IL is great! So clean and lots of hospitality. Have stayed here many times and it’s always great!

The front desk attendant was very friendly and provided detailed directions to our room that was in the back of the property. The location was quiet. The shower was not cleaned well. There was hair left on the drain that I removed. Otherwise, the room was fine. We liked the extra space!

Pretty frustrated!! We have been staying at this property for several years. At first it was nice, but every visit it seems to get worse! The furniture is torn up and dirty! I always find hair in the room. Once we used their pool and we couldn’t see the floor! The kids were swimming and would find random toys and items on the ground. Now the pool is just not open. The paint is all pealing up!! This last visit the breakfast looked sketchy. I went to drink our of the milk carton and it was chunky!!! My daughter said her yogurt tasted funny! It was a week past expiration! We immediately left and went to get breakfast elsewhere!!! This place is really going down hill!!!

This is a beautiful modern hotel, suite rooms so accommodating and the beds was super comfy. Only downside was the pool being under renovation, everything else was great, having breakfast was a bonus too!!

I went to check in and it smelled like cigarette smoke! Then they gave me a room that was the furthest from the elevator. That has happened a few times because I book 3rd party. Before I entered my room, I could hear a banging noise coming from my room. When I opened the door I saw the ceiling fan dangling from the ceiling, which was directly over the bed. I called the front desk and she basically said, take it or leave it, there are no other rooms available, maintenance will not be in till tomorrow. When I asked why I was put at the furthest away (literally 1/2 mile + walk) she said, that is just what was assigned to you. She really didn't care either way but hoped the fan didn't fall on me during the night.

Tiles were coming off the walls in the bathroom. Used washcloth hanging from the shower head. Staff was friendly but pool was closed for some reason.

We had to wait 45 minutes to check in as our room was not
ready because of linens. When we did go to bed around 11:00 pm one of the beds did not have the bottom sheet or the top sheet on the bed. Other than that the room was wonderful and good for our needs.

Stayed at this location multiple times. The last visit was probably our last. Dirty towels and wash clothes upon arrival in unit, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, unit floors turned our white socks black, broken hot tub near pool.
