Let me start by talking about your front desk person, Mary, there in Bay City Texas. I called the day before because I had a request that required me to be in the room prior to 3:00 check in time. It was my daughter's wedding at 4:00 and I knew that 1 hour would not suffice I called and asked if there was anything I could do to get in there at least an hour prior to three. Without hesitation not only does she help me out and was very professional and considerate and doing so, she called me that same day to advise me that she was able to have my room cleaned prior to 2:00 and I would be fine to go in at 1:00. I've stayed in Bay City many a times this was my first time in this La Quinta. I'm always looking for comfortability, safe place, and of course a great price. Not only did I find that at this La Quinta but it's a bonus I got an awesome employee really interested in what I was concerned about and helped me out. Great going La Quinta!!! I know where I'm coming from now on. Thank you Mary for taking good care of me. And thank you La Quinta for hiring people like Mary it shows that you're interested in what we as customers want and need and you're doing it!

The room smelled terrible when we entered so I had some air freshener spray in my bag and used it. It helped for a little while but by morning the room had a funky smell again. The bathroom was not clean and the coffee pot still had the used coffee from the person that had stayed there before us which was extremely gross! The toilet backed up and the person at the front said they could not help because sobering ride had the only plunger they had already. It was only when we asked for a full refund so that we could go someplace else that she offered to try to find a solution. A working toilet really is a bare minimum requirement of a hotel stay and as a guest you should not have to feel like you are being too demanding requesting a solution to a backed up toilet. There is a Walmart located maybe a 3 minute drive away with all the plungers needed to fix that. It was an interesting experience. We chose the La Quinta because we have never had a bad experience with one but……I guess there is a first for everything. My husband and I did get a comical story to tell….a 3 floor hotel, 1 plunger and no maintenance person hahaha….. but not funny really. Ohhhh and the bathroom on the main floor had no paper towel and no soap and no sanitizer….. cleanliness here left a LOT to be desired! One last comment my husband would like to add is the overall attitude of “customers…. It is too much to bother with you! Can’t you see I’m trying to surf my phone in peace?!”

Lights in rear of building parking area not working. Dark, next to street, prefect area for breakins or robbery. Out side building door on end of building not locking. Had a couple upstairs of our room with a kid that kept running in the room, woke us up. Wife called desk, desk person could not be bothered to call the room upstairs and ask them to keep down the noise. It sounded like a herd of elephants. Toilet seat very LOOSE, and my wife is disabled, had trouble staying in place.

Spend the extra $30 and stay at the nicer hotels. We always stay in La Quinta's and love them but this one was dirty. The bathroom had new towels out but didn't look to have been cleaned otherwise (mirrors, shower, sink), there was mold all in the shower, the bedspreads had something black all over them, the floors hadn't been vaccumed and the breakfast buffet was a joke.

I was surprised how comfortable the beds were and clean it was for such a good price. The breakfast was standard but good with eggs, waffles and hash browns. Will stay here every time I'm in town.

We chose La Quinta for it's location but that is the only thing it has going for it.
The building looks ok from the street but as you approach you can see all the trash. The flower beds are full of weeds and trash no nice looking landscaping anywhere.
The lobby was fine, seemed to be acceptably clean but plain and worn. The lobby bath room was dirty and out of supplies. The faucet didn't work and I had to shake the water off my hands as I walked back to the front desk.
The second floor hallway was terrible, stains every where and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Turns out they only clean on Tuesdays and Thursdays, scary. At some point a lady got sick and vomited in her room out into the hallway and the cleanup of that was not good. The smell and stains on the floor and door remained until we left.
Our room was not good! Stains on the carpet, bedspread and sheets. Bathroom had mildew stains and hardwater deposits everywhere. I was afraid to ask about the stains in the grout around the toilet. The AC worked but not well, loud and slow. The chair at the desk was broken, you could only lay down in it. The alarm clock had melted at some point and none of the charging ports or receptacles worked. We unplugged it so we wouldn't burn down the hotel. The sink was broken and wouldn't drain. We ran out of TP and they wouldn't bring it to our room. The mattresses were comfortable.
The ladies at the front desk seemed like they wanted to help but they were overwhelmed.

Friendly atmosphere but room was not clean. There were dead roaches in bathtub, trash and someone dirty socks under AC plus the bed sheets on one of the beds didn’t smell clean. They were dirty.

Very dirty, housekeeping is only done on Mondays and Thursdays. Hallway carpets stained everywhere, numerous bugs and roaches dead on floor. Won’t give additional towels when asked. Workers look very similar, must be related. Very unprofessional customer service. And was additional charges on my credit card without any explanation. Needs all new management.

The lobby and the entire building smells moldy. Our toilet was not even attached to the floor. The toilet had dried up urine all around the bottom base. The towel bar came off the wall. Only 1 to of toilet paper for 2 people and a2 night stay. The only decent thing was the breakfast. It was good. I didn't make any complaints because I didn't plan to live there. However, for the price we paid it should have been way better. La Quinta is the only hotel that I chose to stay at because they have all been so wonderful. But this place dropped the ball big time. I will never stay at this location again.

We always stay here because it's right next to the Neon Moon. I do wish for a 4 cup coffee pod in the room to use with the 4 cup pot (instead of the single cup pod, which really doesn't work), and this time they were out of shampoo. They're obviously struggling but they do try hard. The breakfast buffet is pretty good and the Keurig in the lobby is delightful (the coffee on the buffet isn't very good) but I always wish half and half were offered and not that flavored creamer. Just little things like that. All in all it's a pretty good place to stay.

Beds had stains on sheets, ac was not working properly room, bath tube didn’t have mat was slippery and almost feel, gave me a hard time for early check in . I don’t recommend staying at la Quinta .

This hotel's location relative to the plants makes it convenient to me. The bed was clean and soft while the room's AC kept the room nice and cold. Despite the negative reviews about cleanliness, the room I stayed in seemed very clean. Turning on the tub's faucet produces hot water quickly, but the shower heads probably need decalcification because they dribble too much. I would definitely stay another night.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We arrived very late and got checked in fine. When we took showers, the drain was so slow you ended up with ankle deep water. Since it didn't drain properly, it left the tub very slick. When we turned on the tv, the cable box did not work. My husband went to see what could be done and we were told no one coule look at it until Monday. This was Saturday. We were told we would get 15% off our bill for the inconvenience, however at checkout, we were told since we booked through a 3rd party site, it would apply to our next stay. The internet went out Saturday night and we were again told that nothing could be done until Monday, which was when we checked out. At no time were we able to speak to a manager or even see one. The breakfast was mediocre. Eggs were good on Sunday, but for some reason they added hashbrowns to them on Monday. The sausage was dry and overdone all 3 days. We just purchased a home in Bay City so we will not be able to use the discount at that location unless family comes to visit and wants to stay at a hotel. Very disappointed with our stay overall.

We love laQuinta, and while the amenities at this hotel were at LaQuinta's good level, the employee at check-in stunned me by asking for an additional credit card, other than the one used in my Travelocity reservation....she implied that perhaps there might not be enough credit available on that card. I refused because I wasn't comfortable with the idea of another card subject to charges I didn't make. She begrudgingly said OK. But this was an insult !

The place has an unpleasant odor as soon as you walk in. The carpets are furniture are soiled and smelly. The A/C is mediocre at best.
Having said all that, the staff was very cordial and efficient. The breakfast was good also.

I liked the quick service and location of the property. I didnt like the old smelly carpeted halls and the free breakfast wasnt put out in a timely fashion so we missed that both days we stayed.

We like this hotel very much. It's clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly and convenient. My only suggestion is that the coffee pods in the rooms be 4 cup, since it's a 4 cup pot. I'd love to be able to make a little pot of coffee in the room.

We enjoyed our stay, the parking was great and we felt very safe. It was clean and the breakfast was great. The only negative was a club next door was bumping until 200am (Sat night). I put my earplug in and heard nothing but my husband was bothered a bit by it.

I believe as in many services, they are short handed. The front desk tenant was very friendly, polite, and apologetic. Breakfast was empty by 8 and not sure when it was restocked. The room was clean, but AC unit was noisey and clanked.

Upon arrival Michael was great! I truly thought the room would be fine even though LaQuinta is a lower level hotel. Upon calling for extra towels, there was none. The bathroom was extremely dirty. The breakfast was sup par. The morning staff broke down the waffle machine prior to the allotted time which limited the options. And lastly, the breakfast area had an abundance of flies. Causing you not to even dine in. The one positive at the hotel is the charging station. But heads up one works properly the second doesn’t.
