Upon arrival the hotel was clean, and staff friendly. When we got to our room it was hot and I couldn’t get the air to kick on. So I went back to the front desk and asked what I was doing wrong, certain it was me doing something wrong. The front desk attendant seemed annoyed that I was asking. He told me it was locked, he couldn’t lower it and it would turn on once it reached a certain temp. Long story short, it never turned on. We ended up opening the window, which would have been totally fine except we were on the first floor. So it didn’t feel safe. We closed the window before going to sleep and woke up sweating a couple hours later.
I will say, it was convenient to food, target, and gas.

The stay was fine. I just would prefer that the suites have a private bedroom.

Laundry was broke down, icemaker did not work, no milk at the Continental breakfast. When you’re traveling across the country with your family, these things are important.

Our room did not have tissues or bathroom cups. When I called to request them the front desk person was quite rude. He said tissues were on back order (maybe the manager should go buy some tissues at the Walmart across the street until they come in!) and he said there were cups in the lobby (coffee cups)! Never offered to bring extra towels as I requested and then basically hung up on me. Never saw any towels or cups. I know this is just a Fairfield Inn…not a high end Marriott but still! Terrible.

Air conditioner didn’t cool, fridge wasn’t working in room, only 1 of the 4 floors had an ice machine that worked, breakfast was subpar at best. The door lock broke when we went to breakfast and we couldn’t close our door.

The only channel I wanted to watch, wasn't available, so we missed the football game, Detroit and San Francisco, this was a very important game to miss 😢

We had a nice stay and the front desk was very nice and efficient. Maintenance needs a kick in the pants. Find a good plumber so guests aren't standing in ankle deep water by the time they finish their shower. Yes we did have the drain open. Toilets and sinks run slow and need more water pressure. Otherwise everything else was top notch.

Five night stay, housekeeping only came in one of those days. I asked at desk twice and second time was told Marriott is no longer a full service hospitality. We asked for towels each night and emptied our own trash. First impression walking in was vanity top in bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in months as dust was covering it. We purchased our own Clorox wipes to clean bathroom and toilet. One morning went down stairs and found coffee spill in front of elevators on main floor. Not uncommon, however it remained for two full days before being mopped. Marriott/Fairfield are usually my first picks when traveling. This trip changes my opinion forever. I would suggest finding alternatives in Texarkana area.

I stayed there ask the staff for a room check with my garbage and towels and toilet paper came back the night with my family the room was left the same and to make it worst i complained to the night person they said when i leave to celebrate my birthday on th evening of the 31st of December I'll come back and he will deal with it and when i came back it was the same way the morning staff left it i have always love staying to this hotel FAIRFIELD IN TEXARKANA TEXAS NOW I AM SECOND GUESSING

So grateful for the service when we left an important electronic device behind. They called me to let me know before I realized it was missing and are helping print shipping label and send the package for us!

Room was clean, but bathtub took forever to fill. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Very noisy room next store/we were in 208 and difficult to sleep as seemed poorly insulated. Kept us up good part of night.

Room was in poor condition. Very very noisy. The fire alarm was not connected just sitting sideways in the hole in the wall.

The one bedroom suite gave us a lot of room to visit and enjoy company. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was nice and well stocked. My only complaint was the breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were wonderful, but the rest left a lot to be desired.

The heat didn’t work so we were changed to another that didn’t have a working fridge. The heat went out in the new room on the second day. The shower would barely drain and it was freezing throughout the entire hotel. The receptionist was nice though.

The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast variety was good. The only issue that I had was that I did not sleep well the first night that I was there due to the heat/ac unit not working properly. I had to be moved to another room. Big inconvenience. Then I had an issue with an additional $110.00 being authorized to my card. The hotel staff is telling me that it is something on Expedia's end. It took 3 days to get those funds added back to my card. I would say that the hotel is very good other than the problem that I had on the first night and then the billing issue that I had to get resolved via my bank. I feel like something should've offered to me for all of two inconveniences that I have had related to this stay.

When I arrived at 2:00 p.m. they told me I couldn't check until 3:00. So I left him and got something to eat when I came back at 3:00 they told me my room wasn't ready and they would check on it. 20 minutes later after they checked in everybody but me I had to demand someone help me. I just drove 10 hours across four states and was exhausted. I finally get a room which was amazing thanks to some young lady who helped me. My bed was comfy the room was clean it was wonderful. Except for the people above me literally jumping up and down on the floor for an hour straight so much for sleeping. Anyway that's not the hotels fault. I also got yelled at by the lady at breakfast who is putting out the buffet. Not the best stuff in the world. They surely don't know customer service. But the hotel and the food in The breakfast were great.

Staff in general very polite and nice
Rooms were clean , bed ok. The hallway had an odd smell. They had some sort of diffuser thing going on, may be that’s the smell.
Bathrooms were ok. Didn’t have a lot of amenities, including the facial tissues. Some discoloration in the bathroom caulking.one of the Bathroom light was not working.
Closet door was broken
Decent Breakfast, included with the price. Bagel, waffle, toast , juice

I was relieved to arrive at the hotel after a long drive from Chicago. The staff at check in was very polite and helpful. Room was spacious and clean.

Front desk agent was lovely, but over worked, trying to manage hotel by herself. Paid for a double bed room 3 days in advance but room was sold out. Given a king suite which was not satisfactory as we had 3 adults. Pull out bed was unsatisfactory. Also no nose tissue in room. Requested from front desk but hotel didn’t have any. Breakfast was good and ready at 6 AM.

although it seemed great in pictures, the hotel was difficult to get to because of the highway and it was very outdated inside, i had noticeable water damage in the bathroom ceiling and the picture in the bathroom had been shattered and the frame was put back together horribly. i would not stay here again.

Terrible hotel. Unfriendly staff. Pool was filled with green sludge. Stained carpet. Stuck on food on telephone. Low flow sinks. Took 10 minutes to wash hands. Towels like sandpaper. I could go on. Just stay away. The price was low for a reason. Trust me.

Room was very clean. I thought for 2 queen beds room would be a little bigger for price but adjusted to it. Staff was very very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Will stay here again

Fire alarm went off multiple times during our four day stay, during the day and in the middle of the night. It went off for an hour or better our first night here starting around 2AM. The clerk on duty seemed unconcerned about it, not so much as offering a casual apology for the ~75 minutes we were standing in the lobby with the rest of the guests waiting for it to go off.
Mistakes happen, so we rolled with it. The next night it happened again. It wasn't as long, but it was the same experience. Entire hotel fire alarm going off, desk clerk playing candy crush or some such on their phone.
The rooms were also a little dirty, and the breakfast made my wife sick the first morning we were there. By far the worst experience we've had at a Marriott, and it only served to make our trip worse than it already was (we were in town for a funeral.)
If Marriott management sees this, I'd greatly recommend sending some regional management to this location to figure out what is going on.

Location is fine. Indoor Pool being closed since Covid 19 is not fine. Every room here is pet friendly which could be an issue if you have allergies but in four stays here, we have never seen evidence of pet hair or odor in any rooms.
We chose a handicapped room but none were available at 6 pm. I now have to assist my wife off the toilet every single time. Thermostat on the wall is blank and not working but it’s so cool outside, comfortable inside the room, we just need a place to sleep and chose to say something at checkout.

Perfectly good as you would expect for an over night stay. Breakfast was included. Parking on site. Property clean and well maintained. This was located off a busy road in a commercial area of town, would not be walking around. You'll need to drive out for meals, Then you'll have to loop back because road is a one way. Not a real issue

Hotel construction is obviously wood frame. It was noisy. We could hear footsteps above, conversations beside us. Biggest issue was the shower. It was set for handicap (we aren't, not sure why we were given the room). Controls were confusing and difficult to use. Water temp was either freezing or scalding hot.
