Front desk staff are amazing!

I was very pleased with my stay! I flew into Hartford for a family event in Wethersfield. I was thrilled at how CONVENIENT this was to the airport (20 Min) and Old Wethersfield (10 min). I (woman) traveled by myself, and felt VERY SAFE here. The parking lots were well lighted, and it was in a pretty decent area. The STAFF was very friendly and helpful. I went out for snacks, and the desk clerk helped me by getting plates, napkins and plasticware for me. SNACKS in the lobby included water during the day, but other snacks (peanuts and m&m's; and fresh cookies) were available. Coffee and tea were available. The hotel has been nicely RENOVATED. Nice and clean. BREAKFAST was fabulous! Everything from cooked eggs (scrambled one morning, omelet the other), and hard boiled; many breads, muffins; oatmeal; waffles; and more. Only TWO things that were not so good: 1) there is no grocery or restaurant nearby, so plan ahead. The clerk told me about Shoprite, which was a great store, about 3 miles away; and 2) I booked this HAMPTON through Hotels.com, but received an email from HILTON (I guess they have merged) saying I could download the HILTON app and do contactless check-in. I downloaded the app, but the reservation did not show up. This really concerned me. I called the Hilton, and they had no record of it. I trusted that my reservation that was on the Hotels.com app was actually in place, which it was. That is a little glitch in the system- so don't panic like I did.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was located about a 2 min drive from down town Hartford. The indoor pool was very COLD.

We stayed the night while we were there for the garden and plant expo.

When we got there we were earlier than check in time. We have never had a problem at other Hampton Inns useing the pool until our room was ready but they told us we couldnt it was against policy. We were very upset about this because I had my 8 year old grandaughters with us and they were looking forward to swimming that is the reason we got there early. Then the next morning they were so looking forward to the waffles but again we were disappointed because they said the thing that holds the waffle batter was broken. I saw other people with waffles on their plate and felt like they just could have put the batter in something else to use but just didnt want to be bothered so again my grandaughters were disappointed.

Over all, the stay was great. The rug in our suite had wet stains on the rug. The beds were springy but everything else about the room was great. The breakfast was fantastic.

DO NOT COME HERE. The workers are disorganized and rude. The pool is dirty. Prostitutes are naked in the hallways yelling. I was followed by a random man to my room. Breakfast is nasty. I was told I was all set after being there for over an hour to get a room. The worker lied and changed the dates behind my back for my stay. The next day the manager with red dreads had a rude aggressive attitude telling me I had to leave when I paid to stay THAT DAY. I had to argue with her and she was trying to blame me as if her EMPLOYEE didn’t tell me I was ALL SET for my stay that very MORNING. Terrible 0/10. They charged me extra because of their new employees mistake. Why isn’t he being trained properly? Why do I have to get charged extra over your negligence as a manager?

The stay is always good for the first day maybe, but then I’m ready to leave because the beds are so hard and uncomfortable, when I stay at a hotel I want ultimate comfort and I never get that when I stay here. I left a day early this trip because of how uncomfortable the beds were.

We stay here for one night every Christmas Eve. This hotel is well maintained and always very clean and comfortable. Even the free breakfast offers enough where everyone will be pleased.

Staff very courteous. Room was very clean. 24 hour security on premises. Excellent stay.

Great hotel for a quick stay in east hartford

Property is a bit dated as are the rooms. Beds as hard as a rock and I had to let the water run for a few minutes before it got warm. However, the price was fair for what I received, and the staff were all very nice and helpful.
