Exactly what I needed- clean comfortable and affordable place to relax before a full day of skiing. Two comfy beds, cable tv, hot shower- short trip to a great diner. Would stay again.

My stay was fine for what it was. A quick one night sleep. Room was clean and comfortable, easy check in and check out. I would stay here a again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sun View Motel. It is in the wonderful town of Tannersville. It is very close to Hunter Mountain so it was convenient for us for we were on a skiing vacation there. Lily the woman who runs The Sun View was so sweet and kind to us. We got extra towels right away and had everything we needed. The only thing was that there were lights outside our window. We used our clothing to cover up the blinds and it worked well. The beds were very comfortable and there is a great coffee house five minutes down the road for a delicious breakfast. And we had dinner right across the street at a fabulous restaurant called Jessies. I would stay there again!

The room was perfect for my son and I to share. It was simple, yet had everything we need. Loved having a microwave and refrigerator too. Would have been fine to have a bathroom door that locked, more/better covering on the bathroom window and also the ability to turn off the outside lights to darken the room more.

Excellent deal - looks like newly renovated. Perfect if you are looking for a place stay while skiing. Don’t let the outside deceive you. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

We were in the ground floor and could hear everything

Difficult to sleep and 3 bright LED lights were shining through a large double window. Blackout curtains are a must is room #18. Even people sleeping on the other side of the room could not sleep due to the very bright light outside the window. Had to add a blanket to the window to block some of the light. Also very minimal office hours.

Wifi did not work, outside was brightly lit and shades did not block the light at night. Otherwise as described!

The property is rather old and tired. Asked for a hair dryer and it was never delivered. The rooms are clean and neat but the outside walk way/patio area had loose tiles and cement stairs were cracking. A true hazard.

Unexpectedly wonderful hotel in northern Catskills. Owner was very friendly at check in, gave me an upgrade. Room was large, clean, renovated bathroom, nice toiletries, mini-frog with working freezer. Attractive grounds with lots of Adirondack chairs and hammocks overlooking a beautiful Mountain View. Walking g distance from eateries. Recommend without reservation

This was a very simple room. No frills, but very clean. Really, the only problem is when you call, no one seems to answer. It made it challenging to decide to book. When you are onsite, Lily, the host, is very friendly, warm and helpful. But it was unnerving getting there because no one was in the office and our key wasn’t in the attached mailbox. It wasn’t clear that you would reach someone if you rang the bell, but that’s exactly what happened. Lily came out and all was well.

The room was fine and clean, but the clientele incredibly obnoxious and hotel staff did not seem to have any solutions to fix the problem. Put me in a different room, or have the people who stay up doing who-knows-what all night long go in a different room so they don’t keep me awake ALL NIGHT. Or refund me so I can go to a different hotel, if you can’t/won’t fix the problem. I would have gotten much better sleep in my car or basically anywhere else. Hotel staff was polite and did talk with the people who couldn’t keep quiet, but it didn’t help much. Inconvenient office hours as well, and no one answers the phone most of the time even during office hours. Very disappointed and frustrated with the whole situation and having spent money on it. Would never stay again.

If you pay cheap, you get cheap... I locked myself out of the room by mistake, and the lady by the desk said she wouldn't be back before 2 hrs. so I opened the door by forcing in a credit card

Nice room, accommodating management and Mountain Views within walking distance to town center

We were in the area for a wedding and were busy most of the time so we were not in the room except to sleep. This was fine, as the mattress was excellent, we had a fridge and a microwave along with a small coffee maker. The room is quite dark (2 lamps) and the air conditioner was older and working hard. The tv connection never worked (we wanted quick local weather and news updates). The large bathroom is nice, but there are no shelves or hooks for personal items, and no shelf in the shower either.

Good place to stay for a fair rate.
