We really enjoyed Solvang. The Hamlet Inn was an average accommodation as expected. One thing we noticed was the bed was quite hard.

I have stayed here before. Came back as it is clean, clean, clean. Also conveniently located.
We also love the complimentary use of the bicycles.

It seems like the owners changed. But it has been a minute since we’ve stayed there. They have a water pitcher that heats up water for coffee and it leaked. There is no microwave. We stayed in room 9. I love the decor and comfort of the bed and the towels. She allowed us to heat up some stuff in their microwave but she was super annoyed by it. The receptionist was very dry and short. The old owners asked us questions and had even left us a cute set up one year since we were celebrating our anniversary. This was definitely not the case. It felt like she couldn’t get people out of her lobby fast enough. Also when we got there she kept insisting why I didn’t respond to her txt msg and I hadn’t received one and she insisted again. She then figured out she never sent it. Didn’t say what the txt was about. She handed me a small paper with our code and she said the rest is in the room and walked back to her office.

The location was perfect, our room was way bigger than we expected and I loved that they texted us our room # and room code prior to arriving. Plus, the room was ready before the 4 PM check in so we could check in early. It was a lovely stay.

The hotel was very well equipped for the weekend. Unfortunately, both my partner and I had a terrible nights rest because the pillows were way too soft. As soon as we would lay down on the pillow, they would sink all of the way to the bottom of the bed and this caused us to have a terrible headache as well as a crooked neck. This hotel would get a five star rating if the sleeping arrangements were more comfortable.

Lovely and very clean hotel. Staff were very nice and made checking in and out effortless. Very conveniently located across the street from an excellent bakery and yummy pancake house. Thanks Hamlet Inn for a lovely stay.

Front desk was so kind and sweet. We were able to check in 2 hours early. Our room is considered a 2 bedroom (2 queen beds). The location is perfect. Close to plenty of restaurants and in the middle of everything.
The cons are: the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. It was really difficult to get a good night’s sleep. You can also hear your neighbors. At around 1am, we could hear the people next to us going up and down the stairs and their conversations. The AC in the room was also not working. Thankfully; the weather is nice and cool that we didn’t really need it.

The first night there was a spider in our bathroom. The second night a strange bug was in my bed trying to get into my ear!!!!!! I couldn’t go back to sleep after that!!!!

The property is in a great part of town to explore restaurants and shops. Everything was clean and the beds were comfy and cozy. The room was surprisingly spacious and much larger than the pictures indicated. The staff was nice, and they let us leave our cars in the parking lot even after we checked out so we could continue exploring the town. The only thing I would change is the number of outlets in the room. They were sparse. A small detail and not too big of a deal. Would definitely stay again.

What I liked was that It is perfectly located in the very heart of Solvang, it was clean, the room was spacious and cozy, the location was accesible, a very quite, safe and a simple hotel. The staff was available and professional. The only thing I did not like was the bed, mattress was too soft and probably old, my recommendation would be to renew mattresses please!

The time we visited, it was a bit warm maybe even warmer than usual. We walked into the room and to our surprise the hotel hosts didn't turn on the AC to cool the room. We right away had to turn on the AC window unit, open windows and turn on fan. Our whole stay was uncomfortable because the AC unit stopped cooling during the night and for a time the next day. It cooled down at night but the windows open the opposite way that the cool air wasn't able to come into the room. For as much as we paid for the stay, I'd think they are able to upgrade the AC from a window unit to central air unit.

We arrived several hours before check-in, but we were allowed to park in the lot. The woman was very warm and knowledgable. We were at one end of the main throughfare, so we were able to walk down the road to see all the restaurants and newer, more modern businesses. Just one street over, was the older shops and bakeries. The codes on the doors in place of key cards was incredibly convenient. Our only concern was how often they changed the codes. The person at the desk didn't have to look them up, which gave the impression that they hadn't been changed in a while. The only other issue was that one of the rooms wasn't the one we reserved, it was a lot smaller. Luckily, we weren't there for long so it didn't affect us much.

I am extremely sad to say that I stood here and only did the power go out but I had left my sunglasses at this location when I immediately called back and let them know they identified that they had my sunglasses. They said they would mail them out to a nice girl name Emily, I asked her if she can please get a tracking number when she did I even offered to pay she said no problem she would get them out in the mail she went on Friday. I never received my sunglasses I called back and she said she didn’t get a tracking . It’s been over a week and a half and still no sunglasses those head meaning they were a gift for my mother, who is no longer with me not only will I never save this hotel again because you guys took something that was very precious for me and didn’t return it but I will definitely advise nobody to stay here
