Cosy lodge nestled between highrise. Warm welcome, warm aesthetic and casual atmosphere making it a toasty lil tree house home away from home.

This is an excellent place to stay. Comfortable beds, great food and the staff is top notch.

NOT AN OPTION FOR NON-SMOKERS. I booked for 5 nights NON-SMOKING room. Although the room was clear, the cigarette smell is all over the building, second floor common area, toilets, common kitchen, shower, washstand, everywhere. I knew it's a bar on the first floor and almost every bar in Japan separate smoking/non-smoking area! However, not this one! The whole place is filled with cigarettes smell. Even after shower, all I could smell from me was cigarettes!! And this information was not shown on the website when I made the booking, which should be properly alerted! I left after the 1st night cus I could not imagine staying there any longer. I phoned Hostels.com for help and the CS helped me to communicated with the owner. In the end they charged in full for 2nights and only agreed to refund 50% of the rest 3nights. It's a ripoff. NEVER AGAIN! NEVER!

It was my first time to stay there. They don't have many rooms, so guests can communicate with the staff properly, compared with other type's guest houses. They have much better stuff than the other guest houses. I think that's why it costs a little more expensive. This guest house is good for u if u r looking for nice quality guest house.

The dorm beds have a lot more space than expected and the staff is very friendly- and they speak a little English!

Staff are friendly. Location is good. Two stops away from JR Sapporo stations only by Togo Line. Few minutes walk to the hostel.

Very clean hostel, great location. Narrow access to some bunks, nice privacy curtain but little space for your gear (locker good for small items). Staff fine, willing to help but not much English if you have random questions. Limited kitchen, no one around at check out, smoking allowed in common areas? Lovely looking place.

Sappolodge is a very cozy, unique looking hostel, with its wooden interior. Amenities are great, it just lacks a coinlaundry and could use some more coathangers for the beds. Rooms were clean and the service was very friendly! The hostel is located in the nightlife district, so there is plenty of food, entertainment and shopping nearby.

Stayed in a four bed female dorm, lots of space to store your bag inside your bed area with a locker in the main area outside the bedrooms for valuables. Bar and restaurant downstairs to hang out in which wasn't too noisy and didn't affect my sleep. Very friendly staff who were happy to provide tips on things to do and see.

The hostel is very clean! We had a room for the two of us downstairs and it felt like having our own apartment! Although the room is located next to the bar, we did not hear any noise!
The staff is very friendly, but we tried to order a taxi with them for the next morning - this did not work out.

The hostel is decorated with wood feeling. My friend and I were given a corner lot in the mixed dorm and we have more privacy although the space is quite small at corner area. The hostel is just besides a convenient store and Susukino, Nijo Market and many attractions are accessible within walking distance.

Close to Sapporo Station, subway station and Susukino. Clean and modern. Owner made everything out of local wood. Friendly and helpful. Beds were the most private I have seen for bunk beds. They had their own little space to keep all your stuff. Would definitely stay here again!
