The house was cute and somewhat clean. House needs detailed. The coffee pot was moldy had to buy our own and left for future guests.

Room is compact and wi-fi was weak making it difficult to watch TV or use our devices. The bed is comfortable and the property is in a nice location across the road from Lake Charlevoix.

We have stayed at South Arm Retreats 3 times in the past 4 years. We like that it is clean, comfortable and quite and the rates are good.

The room was fine. We knew it was goingi g to be small but was very well set up.
Only issue is we had no sound on the TV. We asked the owners about it and they knew nothing about it. And since their is no one on site to assist it was never fixed or looked at.

The location was just outside the main area of town. Nice views, close to beaches. Would be a nice place to go to in the summer. Clean and friendly staff. We had a toilet set break, and was fixed within an hour. Towels were easily accessible.
A couple of things need attention. The handle on the bathroom sink was not attached to the faucet - it needed a set screw to hold in place. We were visiting in freezing weather and the walk ways were slippery from the melted snow on the roof. The eves did not catch all of the water.

We were sent the wrong virtual passcode. She answered immediately and corrected it. Thank you. The room was very cozy but the mattress was not very suitable. Really loved the experience minus the lack of sleep mattress.

For a mom & Pop type of motel. I could not of been more happy. Check in to care of every need I had. Rooms were very clean and lady at the desk was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again

South Arms Retreats in E. Jordan is a cute place to stay. Across from the water, the 8 unit motel looks like it has been recently updated with more to come. The room we were in was small by most standards but had what we needed for our mid-week stay; queen bed, fridge, microwave, coffee, A/C, gas heater, fan, tiny bathroom with a decent shower and everything else you’ll need. Remote sign-in and electronic lock entry is convenient and the owners seem very responsive (mostly by text).

They have really spent the time on cleaning and making the property peaceful and relaxing. There’s a little beach area across the street where I sat and watched the lake and read a book and relaxed.

Room smelled musty and a tinge of cigarette smoke was in the air.

Our stay was pleasant, but we had one major and one minor issue. The major issue was that the bunk bed bedding smelled like urine, so we were unable to use them and the minor issue was that there was no conditioner or body wash left in the bottles provided in the shower.

Only one night stay playing golf at The Chief gc. Very nice restful night. Beautiful area- ice cream place near by😊

Had a lovely stay , the contactless check in was different but easy and convenient, the rooms simple and clean. Which was just what we were looking for and needed.

If you are interested in a very clean room to spend the night with a great location then this is a perfect place to stay. We were very pleased with our stay. Would recommend it.

This is the 2nd time in a week Ive stayed at the motel. It's a nice quiet place, affordable and conveniently located in the area of Charlevoix, Petoskey and boyne city.
