We enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Colonial Inn & Creamery. The location was perfect; just a few minutes walk to Watkins Glen State Park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing was the shower - tt was very difficult to control the temperature and flow. Other than that, a very relaxing stay at this hotel. Enjoyed the colonial "charm" of this place.

Very nice Inn in Watkins Glen. The room was comfortable but small. The bed was very soft almost too soft, we’re used to a firmer mattress. The home made ice cream on site was delicious ! The wood fired pizza was fantastic! Within walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park and lots of places downtown to shop . Overall it is a nice Inn/motel and reasonably priced.

As long as you keep in mind this is a 2 star Hotel then it was as expected. You get only the basics at 2 star places

They have an home made ice cream shop on site, delicious treat! Very convenient for walking in town and especially Watkins Glen State park. Older building and rooms, very well maintained and clean.

We enjoyed the ease of setting up reservation, check in, and check out. Note, we reserved less than 15 minutes before we arrived. Although we had our confirmation we had not received our text yet with our code for check in. But it was understandable. We enjoyed that it was right in town, walking distance from Watkins Glenn, restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. We stayed in the "motel" section. It was clean and simple. The price was a little high for size of room, but it was made up for by cleanliness, location, and friendliness of the staff at creamery portion and there was an Inn employee also.

Place is nice, nothing spectacular, but clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Wall unit AC, so a bit loud at night. They do contactless check in and out. Staff was super friendly. There is nice pizza and icecream. It is walking distance from the gorge, so that is definitely a plus. Also a short distance from the lake.

We booked this place because the website photos showed an adorable, quaint building. However, when we arrived, we found that the room was not. It looked like a rundown motel room, dingy and unclean (we found a used wine glass under one of the beds and the tub floor was badly stained). The windows had fabric covering them and it was nailed down so we couldn't even open them. The bathroom blind was broken at both sides and there was a flood light directly outside that window, as well as a second window in the room so we constantly had light glaring in our room.. The furniture in the room was in poor condition and and not placed appropriately in the room (a dresser was placed partially blocking two windows) and a bed was placed almost in middle of a room and a rocking chair was there, but there really wasn't room for it. And the bathroom had no room for any toiletries other than an extremely small shelf over the sink. We ran out of toilet paper and it took us several attempts to get more because there wasn't always someone on duty. Overall, the quality of the room was not up par for what we paid. And while it was within walking distance to town and the gorge, our room was right on main street so we heard all the traffic and loud trucks coming through at all hours.

The people here are wonderful! Kind, super friendly and courteous. The room we were in was clean, however the rugs absolutely need to be replaced. They were stained and ripped. One of the windows in the bedroom was cracked. If you are a light sleeper, this place isn't for you. The hotel is right off a major road and trucks drive by all night long. The ice cream at the creamery was awesome! The biscotti flavor was a family favorite.

The property from the outside was very nice They have a cute brick oven pizza and beer in the patio with chairs to sit outside. The room is old, needs some upgrades but clean. I stay there 3 nights but they never clean the room. Walking distance to all the restaurant. Located in Franklin Street which takes you to all the wineries.

Good, clean, basic place to stay while in Watkins Glen!

No frills room close to the gorge. Comfortable bed.

Room was not clean at time of check in, also garbage truck picked up at 3:00 AM making lots of noise and truck lights right next to the room, not a good experience.

Conveniently located to our destination, Watkins Glen State Park.

The woman who runs the Inn Paige was so kind and welcoming. They make the best ice cream and the area is lovely. We will be back

Location is why we picked Colonial Inn, and the loction is great. Right in the middle of town, only a couple of blocks from the lake or the Watkins Glen State Park. The property itself, rooms, condition is OK and I wouldn't usually complain, but the property doesn't stand up to the presentation in their website. I expected more luxury based on the site pictures and description.

The property in cute and well located and the owner is present making the experience way better. They offer delicious ice cream made locally and great pizzas made on a very special oven . You feel at home and it is very peaceful .

The inn keeper was amazingly friendly. This is a no frills, older hotel. It is in awesome spot and close to everything in town. The beds were very comfortable. The ice cream served here was delicious as well as the outdoor wood fired pizza. The hotel is in need of updating, and the rooms could be a bit cleaner- but this is really the only negative thing to say. I would stay here again- the location is ideal, and I don’t spend much time in the hotel room!

Walking distance to many things.

Service was great, everything was contactless so I was texted a code for the room which was easy to use. The room was clean with fresh sheets and towels. They have an ice cream shop and they make pizza but I didn’t get to try because I had already ate after hiking but I saw people enjoying themselves while eating. Overall I’ll say it was great and I will be back.
