We had a great time! The walls are VERY thin and we had a very annoying and loud family next to us. They provide earplugs but be warned in case you want a really quiet place.

Idyllwild Bunkhouse is our favorite place to stay when we need a quick escape from all the hustle and bustle.

Idyllwild Bunkhouse felt like a home away from home. The staff was so friendly and when I told the owner it was my birthday he gave me a warm hug and a small gift! They were super helpful the day we left and it snowed. They provided help to get the snow off our car. They were incredibly generous with the continental breakfast.

I rented an actual cabin last year and got snowed in and couldn't get out. With Idyllwild Bunkhouse I don't have that problem. They maintain their parking spaces which makes it so easy to drive in and out on snowy days :-). The staff is so friendly and nice. Debby gave me good advise on road hazards and lend me her windshield scraper! How cool is she! Thank you so much Debby, we are definitely going back.

Our small balcony looked out into the beautiful pine forest. We were fortunate to see the snow falling from our balcony and the experience was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

The Idyllwild Bunkhouse was the ideal spot for us. We came for a short 2 night stay to explore the town and hike the surrounding areas and had the most comfortable and cozy stay. If you're looking for a very simple and convenient location with a rugged cozy cabin feel look no further!

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The room looks very lovely with great mountain view. It’s very close to the village which is such a cute town. The manager lady is very nice and personable. The only down side is that the shower space for our room(1 queen bedroom) is pretty small. Other than that, everything is just fantastic.

It was cozy. Nice to have breakfast left at the door. They delivered donuts instead of scones.
The shower never got hot but it was warm enough to shower without freezing. Took a long time for the water to warm up.

I love the knotty pine interior, the convenience of a kitchenette, the small balcony overlooking the forest, the basket of breakfast items (warm scones) every morning at your door. Tyler our host was so accommodating and polite. He came to our cabin and showed us how to work the tv and even called the owner to make sure we were using the fireplace correctly. We will definitely be coming back!!

This property is in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are also poorly insulated. The standard rooms are very small and confining. Also, the walls are very thin, and you can hear everything people are doing in the room next to you.

Felt like a cabin Loved it. Very comfortable. I was surprised to find a kitchen and a back deck. It was nice having breakfast delivered in basket to door each morning. Hotels.com advertised a spa, but there wasn’t one. Had problem with TV remotes not working. and heater was portable, but worked great. Close to town

The bunkhouse is really beautiful, small but it's a good feeling living in a log cabin. The kids are loving it. They like the wooden ladder to climb up but wish for a wooden slide to go down. A little bit scarry to go down for the first time, especially for adult because of narrow ladder. Maybe that's the reason the upper bunk beds are still have some dust and dirt. The beds are the old fashion spring beds, but the bottom bed is very much slanted to the side (both side) and you can hear the spring sound.

Simple but pleasing little wood-paneled room with mountain charm. I felt like I was visiting Twin Peaks or the town in Northern Exposure and this little motel fit the bill. The owners were friendly and accomodating. Bed was decently comfortable, pillows need updating, you might want your own. Earplugs provided but I didn't find the thin walls or road traffic distracting. Would visit again.

The cabin we stayed in, looks just like pictured on the website. You get all the basic amenities such as TV, microwave and small refrigerator with freezer. Cute little table for two, a balcony to enjoy the beautiful pine trees and view of the mountain side. Weather was cool so didn’t need the air conditioning. On the down side, our bed was too soft for our liking, noise level high, due to very thin walls, a bit too dim throughout cabin and our carpet was wet due to a leak from the portable air conditioner that we didn’t use, which created a musty smell in the room. We will be back, but will probably rent a larger room, bring some extra lighting and some ear plugs to cut down neighbor noise.

Great secluded cabin! Rear deck had unobstructed views, the fireplace worked great, was well as the AC during the day. Continental breakfast each morninh was a treat.

rustic Queen and funky.. staff was friendly breakfast brought in a basket was very nice. They even provided earplugs which I didn't need even though it was next to the highway. Went up there to go hiking and stayed two nights we're definitely come again. It's not the Hilton but it was comfy and comfortable just the same.

It was ab excellent stay. We were close to the road but it was still quiet. I enjoyed walking my dog around the property. And the morning scones or donuts were awesome. The inn's keepers were friendly and polite
