We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The restaurant had a terrific menu, totally unexpected, and very top-notch. The town has several breweries within short walking distance, and the saddlery museum is super interesting. I had never heard of Sheridan, though my husband, who is from North Dakota, Has. I consider it a gem, especially for midwestern suburbanites or those who have lived for an extended time outside of America, like me.

Not quite what we were expecting - room had no TV, no place to work

When booking this Inn on their web page there was a restaurant-bar on the premises. Well there was but it was closed. Also there are no showers in the rooms only bath-tubs. Which should be noted. Also there are no tv's in the rooms. Another thing which is not told.

Did not realize the room was not equipped with a radio or TV... We did have wifi, but not very entertaining for a long night. My mistake for not realizing this was a historic hotel, so no extra ammenties. Will not stay here again.

What an unexpected GEM !!!! Super quiet, historical, easy to find, quality staff and a story for each room. Breakfast was incredible with so many options and a cozy fireplace room to eat. Staff was beyond helpful! We will be back to stay in a new room with a new story.

Our stay at the Sheridan Inn was quiet (low season, so not a lot of other guests) and the room was very clean. Whatever updates seem to have been done relatively recently, and they were well done—in keeping with the original architecture and design while allowing for modern conveniences. The history of the inn really made our stay special; we liked the framed architectural plans and other history that we found. We appreciated that there was not a giant television (or any TV) in our room, but the Wi-Fi was fast. We loved the fireplaces in the common rooms, and for a “light” breakfast, the offerings were great—frittatas, lots of fresh fruit, pastries and bagels, cold cuts and cheese, granola and yogurt and toppings, plus good coffee for a hotel. The restaurant in the Inn, the Open Range Bar and Grill, was good, too (the food was better at the Rib and Chop House, though). We’d definitely stay again.

Unique hotel with dining and a bar. Rooms are Wyoming feeling and well appointed. Comfortable bed. My room had a couch and two chairs, a huge tub, but no shower. Hot water was warm, not hot, which was a downside. Got a little train noise but not too bad. No iron/ironing board in the rooms if that's something you need (I do) and no TV, which I never use anyway. Nice common areas in the halls with couches, tables for puzzles and games and more. I liked the vibe of the place and I'm glad I stayed here.

What a fun place to stay! This hotel not only was grand when completed in 1893, but still is rather grand by today's standards. Especially if you appreciate history and admire historical restoration, don't miss this place! Charming and comfortable in all respects.

What an amazing old, beautifully restored hotel, a page out of the early 1900s. The ambience was excellent and the reception staff were very helpful. Incredible attention to detail in terms of the room appointment. My family really enjoyed our unfortunately short stay at this hotel.

What a charming historic hotel. Every room is named after a famous figure of the late 1800s early 1900s. And Buffalo Bill actually lived in this place and managed it for a while and Wild West shows in the front yard. Fantastic staff

Beautiful old property with a great room and wonderful
History. Stop by to see it even if not staying. Still missed an ice machine, tv, microwave and refrigerator. Very nice helpful staff.

As a group that traveled over 800 miles we were excited by the fact that there was a room with three beds. Much to our surprise that room had no shower, no tv. It was very disappointing that was the outcome after a long day of traveling. Understanding the historic side and all there should either be major renovations and preserve such or keep it as is and make it a museum. In todays world no one should have pay the money asked of for the limited amenities Sheridan Inn provides.

The air conditioning in our room did not work, but it was very clean and in a great area. There were a family of.vumny rabvits that greeted us when we arrived. I loved the stories related to each room. This in is supposed to be haunted. We did not know that until we arrived. My husband got spooked on the 3rd floor and they graciously moved us to the 2nd floor.

Loved the Sheridan Inn. The guy at check in was extremely accommodating. He showed me the room before we paid. He shared his knowledge of the hotel which was very interesting. Loved the era appropriate decor. Cool old photographs everywhere. Loved how the rooms were decorated and each room themed. Even a folder with the history of the Inn and the people each room is themed after. Just loved this place!

I was not happy to be told there was a $56.00 fee for having a pet. Supposedly it was pre-paid except for things such as room service and mini-bar. The room is terribly musty it hits you when you walk in.

This is a charming hotel that was built in the 1890s. It still has the flavor of the period although everything looks new and well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed. The town is pleasant and has character and plenty of places to eat.

Classy and has its own charm but need to be able to control heat in your hotel room, needs more arrow towel racks in bathroom, mirror in room you get dressed in so you can see yourself before you go out,fan in bathroom but most of all needs either a real shower or curtains around the bathtub if you want to take an actual shower-no curtain and a thermostat set to 68 and can’t b turned up makes for a cool bath or “shower”. Mireya and connie were beyond helpful and friendly and the place is way charming-we are considering trying it again in warmer weather!

If you are looking for an old fashion quiet getaway to relax. This is your place. You can sit on the rockers and look at the trains or walk through the building and look at the pictures and the many rooms. It's very close to down town to shopping and restaurants, even some museums. After you get through with your day you can go back to your very clean room and so soak in the Deep tub in your room and the salts that they have left for you.There is no t.v. so if you want that you better bring your laptop.. Otherwise bring a good book and enjoy the quiet with a cup of coffee or tea. The only complaint I had was i expected a breakfasts and I got a card to take down to a coffee shop that made some scones and muffins. It gave you $8 off your order. The place was very expensive. I had a juice and a small tarte and that was the hole amount. I left and ate breakfast somewhere else. That was the only downfall. They need to change the wording to not say that they offer breakfast. Otherwise it's a once in a lifetime experience. Especially if you get a little bit of the history of the place.
