It was so clean and quaint!! Like a step back in history.... we will absolutely stay again.

Property itself was great, self contained and centrally located, issues arose around the heaters not working, particularly in the bathroom, we stayed in room 8 at the back of the property located next to the rear stairs, neighbours across the way continually coming and going at all hours of the day and night and using the washing machine. Great to have an onsite washing machine and dryer.

The hotel was so run down. The walls were incredibly thin. When someone moved in another apartment, we heard it and were woken up by it.

Not what we expected exept location.

This is in a great location within a few minutes walk of the Sealife Centre and all the shops on 4th Ave. Unfortunately, Apartment 6 is misrepresented in the Orbitz description, which states it has a queen-size bed. The bed was a full-size, which is much too small for my husband and me to sleep in, so I was relegated to the click-clack sofa which was uncomfortable, resulting in a sore back for me for several days. The full bed was also very noisy when my husband changed position in the night. Adding to the noise was the rain pounding on the roof all night, and a heating/cooling unit or something on the adjacent roof. However, there was no traffic noise or people noise.

Room was very clean. There is a convenient washer and dryer in the building that we found very helpful after hiking several days. Back stairs are a bit scary.

It was a cool historical building and the studio room was clean, but the bed was way to soft and noisy.

Old run down no tissues in bathroom. Living room didn’t even have a pace to sit with the TV, just a futon, just not very nice

Funky old apartment style accommodations. There was lots of room and the bed was comfortable.

It was neat to stay in a historic building and we didn’t mind the quirks that went along with it, but the people doing laundry at 1:00 in the morning was very annoying since the door was so thin. The location was great but it was very hard to get in touch with anyone concerning parking instructions or a few other questions we had.

Great location everything right out your door. Historic building. Everything you need for a nice stay. So kind to hold our bags before and after check-in.

The room was clean and the kitchen had anything we needed. Loved the touch of local coffee beans being available. The bed was comfortable but the frame is so loud - i would literally wake up when I turned from one side to the next overnight from the squeaking. Otherwise, loved the location to walk to restaurants and the waterfront park.

This is a downtown hotel, great for walking around Seward. It is on the register of historic places, an extremely unique hotel. If you want to get to know Seward, I would highly recommend it.

Awesome place to stay in a really cool town. Loved how it felt like I was staying at my grandma house.

The beds were lumpy and soft, old non-functional kitchen & furnishings, floor slopes & not even. Very limited communication from booking agency, NOT customer friendly. Worst place I have ever stayed in Seward.

The place is old, many appliances and furniture are not functional, beds are too soft and lumpy, parking is very limited. Communication from the booking service is very limited and not customer focused. I have stayed in Seward many times and this is the worst place to stay.

Lovely apartment in downtown. Came with a living room and full kitchen. Was able to make a hot breakfast and eat it at the cute table area. Only problem was microwave would keep shutting off mid cycle. Also, no elevator in a historic building. Wasn’t a problem but could be inconvenient. Place was clean and located in the perfect area. Murals, sea life center, waterfront parks, restaurants are all within walking distance.

Includes one bed and a pull out couch. No sheets were provided for the couch. Otherwise a good central location in Seward.

Very clean. Historical building with a very convenient location. I parked right out front on the street. Apt had a living room, full kitchen with eat in table, decent sized bedroom, nice bathroom. Thought the bed was comfortable, building was quiet at night. Binder they had out had lots of information for tourists. Managers were easy to reach by text. I’d definitely rent this place again and probably bring a couple more people since there’s a pull out. As far as staying in some place with some history that isn’t gonna feel new I thought it was clean and convenient. I could see a downside being the large staircase to climb to get to the floor with the apts, there is a lift chair there however.

Beds were sooooo comfy...clean and friendly staff

Stairs were a significant obstacle for me. The chair lift helped but was slow. Not having staff at the facility made communication more difficult. The space was quit roomy and kitchen facilities good.

Bar noise - loud music until after midnight made it hard to sleep. Ear plugs on the night stand were helpful, but at $175 per night, it wasn’t worth the money. I won’t stay there again

It was a good location in the downtown area.
The steps up to the apartment have a handicap chair if needed.

No microwave, mgmt bought one. Wifi spotty or non existant entire stay. Mgmt eventually got new router. Kitchen utensils minimal

These accommodations are found throughout the city. Initially, we were placed in an OLD building downtown, upstairs, next to a bar. It appeared to be an old commercial building at one time. When I called, they graciously gave us a different location where the accommodation was perfect. I would book with them again, just be careful with where it is located.

We weren't sure we were getting a kitchen, so that was a pleasant surprise. Apartment 6 has just enough equipment to make pasta, pancakes, and coffee. The location and price are best features here. Never had a problem with parking, just a short walk up a flight of stairs. Felt safe, a bit of a smell on entry. No need for TV, bed is comfy. There is bar music late into the night, which could be a problem as we had to open windows due to slight heat.
Staff is very friendly and willing to give info and deals in Seward. Had the halibut and crab at Gold Rush restaurant. Can't recommend SeaLife Center enough (open until 9). Also got deal on Major Marine fjord tour.

I know it can be difficult finding decent hotel space in Alaska at reasonable prices so when I saw this hotel rated 3 stars on Expedia I jumped. But this is not a 3 star hotel or even a 2 star hotel. It is not a hotel just a small apartment in an old building.. And it was small, too small for 2 people. Even the bed which they claimed to be a Queen (my wife and I normally sleep on a queen) was smaller then a queen so the second night I slept an the couch so we could get a decent night's sleep. Yes it was clean and yes there was a kitchenette, and the bathroom I would rate 2 star.
