It’s not a new hotel and interior is dated but it is clean as can be, staff is friendly and accommodating and it is a stones throw to beach. Affordable and decent!

Location is great...a very short walk to the beach. There is no night life in the immediate area so it is very quiet in the evening. The pool and pool deck are clean and very well maintained.

Everyone was very nice. Literally a one minute walk and you’re at the shore. The hotel is “older” but it was very clean and everything worked!

For what it is it is a great deal. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

Hotel was amazibg

It is a perfect motel right by the beach! It is a close drive to restaurants and the Wildwood Boardwalk. The only thing we had trouble with was the AC. It is an older unit and we had trouble sleeping because of the noise it made when it turned on.

The staff was extremely friendly, the facility was very clean, and the beach was feet away. The only critique I have is that there was no one onsite in the evening, so there wasn't anyone to report issues to that had transpired during the evening. There were guests that had children staying at the hotel and they were loud well past midnight- jumping, screaming, loud music and unfortunately the were staying on the floor above us, so it was even more disturbing. We left early in the AM due to this disturbance so that we could get home to rest.

The hotel was in an amazing location and the beach was great! The pool area was nice. The rooms were very outdated. The air conditioners were loud and hard to control. The sheet on the pull out had stains on it which they say was from the cleaning service. It would be nice if there were curtains as there were only blinds. Also would be nice to have a hair dryer in the room. The kitchen area was cool and had everything we would have needed to cook there. Overall I would recommend it based on location if you’re not looking for luxury.

Friendly staff, amazing location, clean pool and decks. Rooms are dated but clean. Couldn't ask for more for the price for a family beach get away! We can't wait to come back!

For the price you pay it is to be expected The great feature of this property is the close proximity tithe beach and the pool is shaded most of the afternoon so very refreshing during the brutal summer heat.

We stayed here with our two small children for our vacation. The room we stayed in is in need of some TLC but it felt clean and was a good size for our needs. The staff was very friendly. The pool was pretty standard for the area and my girls really enjoyed using it. The best and most important PART--LOCATION. The only thing standing between the Ala Kai and the beach was an empty lot. Also, it is a very quick and easy drive to the Boardwalk and only 9min to the whale watching boats in Cape May. We will keep this property in mind if we decide to visit wildwood again next summer Important for families with small children*** The rooms have a bathtub but do not have plugs. Put a rubber flat tub plug on your vacation shopping list.

We really liked our experience at this hotel. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The bedroom was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. The grill was a great addition for meals during sunset at the deck. Easy walk to the beach and a few minutes drive to the supermarket.

While the property is dated, it is clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms look good only in the pictures. Old, moldy with HORRIBLE beds. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. If you are looking for a good night rest this is NOT a place to rent.

Thursday afternoon when we arrived, no one was in the office to what I believe was the maintenance guy gave us two keys to our room. I never went into the office, never checked in, did not sign anything... it was very odd. We then took everything out of our car, went to the second floor to get into our room. It was difficult to even get into our room as the keys/door knob were very rusted. Once in the room we found mold in the bathroom. There was no way we were going to bathe in that tub. You could literally see outside the entire way around the door. There was a hole cut in the wall with wooden slats over it. We did not feel safe at all. Not only could someone easily enter the room, but there was multiple areas that were open to the outside. I am deathly allergic to bees and they could easily have gotten into the room. The room/hotel is nothing like advertised on Expedia or your website. We decided we did not feel comfortable staying but of course there was no one to talk too. We left to find something to eat and look for another hotel. We returned later that evening and there was still no one to talk to. The only option we had was to leave the keys in the room. Continued to call and speak to someone about the stay and refund. Never did reach anyone. As of yet, my email and calls have not been returned. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Hotel personnel is very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean, but needs an overhaul upgrading from furniture to the air conditioning including windows. Needs to replace the old noisy air conditioning unit for more efficient ones, and windows that doesn't closed correctly or doesn't closed at all. That will lead to lot of energy wasted.
