We had a great stay. The staff was helpful and very nice. Our view was amazing. The bed was super comfortable. We really enjoyed the complimentary bikes. Great location!

I knew it would be a great stay when I was handed a cookie and glass of sparkling wine upon arrival! The room is so spacious (could easily fit a family of four) and smelled wonderful(not like cleaning products). The bed was comfortable and the view was great. A bathtub on the balcony made for a very relaxing evening!

Due to the Super Bowl I was unable to take my car out til 11 am, did not know about this in advance and I was not told parking there costed $45!

Hits: Location—easy walk to The Strand, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Pier. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. Parts of room were modern. Very good in-house restaurant. Great balcony off pier. Good price.
Misses: Hard to overlook one room had bugs. “Amenity Fee” for that room was waived as result, but fee was BS to begin with as not much for amenities. Parts of rooms (carpet) were dated.

This is my second stay at the Shade. Very nice boutique hotel. very clean and great service. Ricardo in the valet is the best. Will happily stay at the Shade again.

Shade hotel is relaxing, upscale, and beautiful. Upon arrival you are offered a glass of bubbly and a cookie. The rooftop pool/jacuzzi overlooks the Marina and Palos Verdes. The rooms with balconies have a tub with curtains for privacy. The Sea Level restaurant is excellent and you can dine by the water with firepits. It's dog friendly as well

These people are scam artists and take advantage of you charging you 500?/ day then going down to 250 everyday after youve -“ready payed and signed the grand total checking in. They lie about there being damage and a charge your card without your permission. Terrible service.

Second time staying here. Very nice hotel. Only complaint-we were charged for minibar items we did not consume. Also charged $45 for valet parking, however we were not given a choice to self park, which we would have done if we had known that was an option.

Rooms are spacious and have super comfy bedding. Wish they’d rip all the carpeting out and use LVT instead. Cleaner and more sanitary. In the future I will pay extra for a Marina view. Overall a great stay.

Lovely, quiet hotel right across the courtyard from a lively restaurant with fire pits and water views. LOVED the tub on balcony! Huge room, very comfortable bed and cool design. Did not try room service but enjoyed dining at the restaurant for dinner and brunch. Great for a weekend getaway.

Such a great location right on the marina. Beautiful view of the sunsets. Great staff and clean rooms. Beds are made European so make sure you ask for a top sheet! The restaurant next door that is part of the hotel is amazing. Such great food and service. Highly recommend Shade Hotel and we will be back for sure.

My first stay at this property was lovely I booked the ocean view with wine and food package. It was a pleasant experience and this is why I booked it for a second time.
My second stay was through Expedia and I received a deal that was much more affordable versus going through the website but when I got to my room. I was placed 1st floor right next to the restaurant and corner where pedestrians cross right outside your balcony. I heard voices all night and commotion from the restaurant next door and rooftop. I asked to be moved and I was told my room could only be on the first floor because it was a king bed. This room once I was inside was not “luxury”. Shade hotel redondo beach is going down in my rating and I couldn’t enjoy my experience on a weekend at this location because of it being so noisy.
They’re other luxury hotels that are the same price that offer quality amenities and accommodations that brings a peaceful stay

I like that it had a outdoor presents and it was romantic. Be careful booking through expedia with is hotel the pricing and advertising was different, and after I booked i was offered things that the hotel did not honor. be careful. call and book with the hotel directly to eliminate confusion and you will not have a bad trip. If you book expedia they will treat you different.

Wonderful experience but usually we stay on the 2nd floor at Shade; this time we were on the 1st floor which was not as comfortable for me as the room is right off from the parking lot and street. Next year I will be sure to request the room be on the 2nd floor or higher.

Enjoy the location and close proximity to all the local beaches enjoyed the resort overall only complaint the exercise equipment wasn’t well maintained the exercise room did not provide any sanitation products to wipe the equipment down before and after use

This was our second time staying here at this beautiful hotel, with the lovely bathtub on the balcony overlooking the marina! Such a great welcoming, as you approach the front desk, and we even received glasses of champagne upon check-in. Highly recommend. I’m sure we will stay again someday.
