Mitre Inn is a traditional old local inn full of charm, character and helpful friendly staff. Ideal for a hiking base or quiet retreat

Two highly enjoyable nights in a fantastic inn, brilliant owner for whom nothing is too much trouble. The Mitre is in a beautiful Tolkien-esque setting and I highly recommend it

We had a lovely stay surrounded by nature, quiet and relaxing. The staff were all lovely, the food was great and eating al fresco was a bonus. Our room could have been a bit cleaner and the bathroom had a bit of a musty smell but it is an old pub so goes with the territory. The bed was comfortable and we slept peacefully and well.

Steve was excellent, the food was very good and overall feel of the pub was also very good.
