This hostel was incredibly clean, including the room, showers, toilets, and the shared kitchen and lounge.
I have stayed in hostels several times before, but this is the cleanest one I have ever experienced!
The hostel managers were also kind and very warm people; they really looked after me!
If I have the chance to visit Islay again, I would definitely stay here and would highly recommend it to my friends!

The staff are angels on earth! Karl helped me fix a ferry/bus schedule problem and saved me from being stranded across the island in the dark. Lorna saved me from another transportation oversight I made, connecting me with a taxi driver that kept me on schedule. Without them my whole trip to Islay would have been a disaster, but instead, it was wonderful! Oh, and the hostel is lovely, clean, informative, and peaceful.

This was one of our favorite places to stay in Scotland. The host and hostess went out of their way to be helpful and made it very warm and welcoming. The “little breakfast” was just right and they have both washers and dryers in the laundry (a big deal here!).
