Our stay was great but the breakfast was horrible! We left and ate somewhere else.

Only thing that needs work was the breakfast. But everything else about the hotel made up for it 5 stars from me only because i cant leave 6. Ill be staying here when visiting the coast from now on.

Great value, easy booking, friendly reception, and clean, comfortable & spacious rooms. However, during booking we were promised two adjacent rooms for our family, but didn't get that. Also ,the elevator was out of service (it happens, I get it) making it a long hike up to the 4th floor with luggage, and worst of all, the pool was closed. A good night's sleep for some disappointed kids.

We stayed one night. I was surprised at the cost since the highway was a mess with construction. The lady at the desk was nice but more interested in a conversation she was having on her cell phone than us. I stepped away to use the rest room so I didn’t get a chance to give her a different card number than she had on file.

We loved staying at the Home 2, staff were very nice and they were very helpful, the room was very clean and spacious, overall this was the best place to stay, definitely 5 stars! Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and nice. Check in was less than expected. There were 2 staff members hanging out at a table and seemed put out to get up. I later went downstairs to ask for extra linen. The staff member was at a table on her phone and told me she had no access to get any until midnight. She never stood up or got off the phone. I asked if they had disposable silverware, and she just pointed in the direction. I had a king size suite with a pullout sofa. The room only had two pillows and I was traveling with three people. It would’ve been nice to actually get the room I booked, which was two queens and a pullout sofa. I don’t understand how she can be the only employee on with no keys to get any supplies. The ice machine didn’t work on our floor. Had to travel to another level to get some. Other than the staff members not being very helpful the room was spacious and clean.

Check in was horrible. Check was 3 pm. I was there at 2:30pm and was told my room was not ready. At 3 pm I checked again and it still was ready. I had somewhere to be by 4 and needed to change clothes. My family and I had to get dressed in the bathroom due to our room not being ready. I was not able to get into my room until after 6pm. Then they gave me a room that was not ready. Beds were not made, trash had not been taken out etc. After another trip to the front desk I was able to get in a clean room.

The absolute most comfortable beds. If I need a place to just be able to get good sleep, this is the hotel i would come to. It was quite and the showers and towels were great.I stay at a lot of hotels and this one is exceptional!!

Our room was not as clean as it could have been. I know no one uses the phone anymore but it shouldn’t have tons of dust on it. The floor also needed vacuuming. The location was convenient. We were leaving for a cruise the next day. The bed was comfortable.

Construction on the roads near the property make it a little tricky to get to.
The pillow and blanket for the pullout were not clean.

Wonderful, comfortable, family trip for Christmas weekend. Great location between Houston and Galveston. Plenty of options for food and shopping in the nearby area. Quiet and safe location. The room itself was very roomy and clean. The bed was OK but not great. The bathroom was small for a door to swing inwards. I would suggest the door swing out for additional bathroom space- just a thought. Other than that, it was great. The breakfast was delicious too. Lots of options! The amenities in the kitchenette was very surprising. Large fridge, dishwasher, microwave. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Room easily accommodates 2 adults and 3 kids.

My first night when I arrived after driving 7.5 hours was terrible. My room wasn't available and the front desk didn't have access to a supervisor which makes no sense at all. She then says I may have to call Expedia and they may have to change my room status or put me in another hotel. I ended up being put in a wheelchair accessible shower room.

My only problem was the elevator it closed to quickly. It almost nocked me down. I just had knee replacement surgery and I'm using a cane so I don't move very fast.

Excellent hotel! The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. Very nice that you get basically a whole kitchen in your room. They are also very dog friendly and the options at breakfast are more than I’ve ever seen at any other hotel. Could not recommend this hotel enough. I will be staying here every time I come to Texas City

This property was brand new during our stay. It is a beautiful hotel and the customer service was stellar. I will definitely stay there again and it will be my go to hotel when visiting Galveston.

Cleanest and most equipped hotel I have ever stayed in. A huge refrigerator and bed, soft fluffy pillows, need I say more. The bathroom was brightly lit and organized. Plenty of toiletries and great water pressure in the shower. If the room didn’t have enough great things already, throw in a 50 inch TV and even a pull out sofa bed.Room so spacious that my daughter rides her hoverboard in it. I want be staying anywhere else from this day forward. The bar has been raised so you other hotels better catch up.

I have given the hotel manager a week to call me back and she still has not called me. Their policy is for the guest to request housekeeping to clean the room. We had overflowing trash, dirty towels and sheets. We requested to have a full cleaning while we were out for the day. When we got back at 8:30 pm they had not touched our room. We had to change our sheets (they had sand from the beach), gather the trash and get fresh towels! I was not happy at all.

The room was very clean, it was huge, and decorated so pretty. Lots of cabinet and storage space. There was every amenity in the room you’d need. Except…hand soap and lotion. The room was huge but the bathroom was tiny. This was the loudest room I’d ever stayed in. It was convenient because the side parking and side entrance was right next to the room but the fire whatever it was room was next door and every 5 minutes it sounded like an airplane was taking off. It was sooo loud all night. My oldest son wasn’t very comfy on the sofa bed but the room was large, and clean but had some hiccups. Oh…the breakfast is awful!! It tastes really bland and just not good.

We called ahead of time to let them know that we would be between 11pm and midnight checking in. I also prepaid for my reservation so there would not be any issues. Upon arrival the staff was very gracious and we had a good rapport going on. She gave me my room # but I had to write it down as they were out of the key card envelopes. Went upstairs and the room # didn't exist. Go back down, and get the correct # from another staff member. Open the door and it is a handicap room with 1 king bed and a sofa bed. I had reserved 2 queens. Go back downstairs, and the original staff member was rude when I told her my concern. She said well you were late and we are sold out and Expedia oversold the rooms and had us down for a king suite. She told me that Hotel.com would make it right and move us, but it was 11:30 by then and we were tired so I gave in and didn't fight about it. The other staff member, Marvin, was very pleasant and helped us at other times of our stay. Just wish I had been insistent when I called ahead that we needed the 2 queen beds.

My stay was good. I didn’t care for the breakfast selection but I ate cereal lol. The staff was nice. The room had a smell but sprayed perfume to cover the stink. Overall stay was good. I will stay again in the future.
