I did not like the type of shower, half a glass wall and No door or curtain or tub.

I was not impressed with dust on the headboard, ice bucket and window ledge. Plus the shower stall needs more cleaning, there was a pink mildew at the bottom.

Modern renovation of an older hotel making it a very nice place to stay

My downsides- The bathroom was not the cleanest (streaky smear marks from where it was wiped). The bathroom door is a sliding door that has a gap so if you are shy in that department don’t recommend going with a new s/o. The pillow cases were like the material of a paper bag, perhaps they should look into the quality of bedding. Parking is across the road beside a bar, I was nervous about that.
Upside- the room was a decent size and it was definitely unique. Not bad for a one night stay as it is less expensive than other places downtown.

The stay was nice. Our room was on the fifth floor, a very quiet one. However (and it is a bit normal for hotels so close to railways), the trains were making some disturbing noise during the night.
Regarding eco-friendliness, I recommend that you recover everything that can be recycled (plastic, paper, etc.) by putting a small blue bin in each room. That would be helpful.

Very disappointed that there wasn't any hand soap in the washroom. Just 1 tube of shampoo, 1 conditioner and I body lotion.

Our stay was very good; we love this hotel. It is well located and the price is excellent. Some improvements still need to be done in the restaurant but, in the meantime, it is still very good.

Rooms are very clean. Building is dated but nice. check in was easy and staff was friendly. Parking was hit and miss to get a spot. Bathroom was small.

Overall it was good and the bed was comfortable. The room needed a little extra cleaning right after we checked in but they took care of it right away.

The room was nice . My bed was very lumpy , we have been in cleaner rooms there was liquid of some sort spilled over the painted mural on the wall kinda gross and the restaurant was out of service .

The hotel is very modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I did however find that the water did not get hot for showering. I mentioned this and was able to change rooms. However, the water temperature was srill the same.

The property was hard to find because there is no lit signage and very limited signage. It is in what seems like a sketchy area when pulling in a night. Issues with accessibility. You cannot get to the main reception desk without having to drag all of your luggage up or down stairs. The elevator doesn't go to the main floor where the reception desk and breakfast room is. I was almost tempted to leave and find another hotel. The room is great, but lack of carpet or even a rug not practical for comfort in a Northern climate in winter. Probably easier for cleaning, but not as comfortable.

Great location, easy to get pretty much anywhere with a car. Really comfortable beds. Continental breakfast is fine but nothing special. Could use a little more shelving/counter space in the bathroom. Will stay here again next time I visit Thunder Bay.

The hotel was clean and very modern, as it has been redone. It had issues with their elevator which was awaiting parts and repair. There is a an accessibility issue for accessing the breakfast as there are stairs. The hotel was great otherwise..great location. Good price .

When we got there the front desk person was nowhere to be found. There was another guest trying to call the front desk to see where they were, waited almost 10 minutes for him to get back.
Overall the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was basic, and it was ok.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. But there was no door mat for our dirty boots and the room was very hot, the bathroom is extremely small, had there are no shelves in the shower. The walk in shower was big enough but the water sprays all over the floor because there’s no door and the glass partition is not long enough. The continental breakfast was disappointing, not very much of a choice in food and what was there was poor quality. The bathroom next to the dining room was not clean and had a very offensive smell.

The room was not cleaned properly with a sticky red fluid still spiilled.on cofee bar when we checked in. Front desk said sorry but did nothing about it.

The rooms had hair everywhere. Even the bed!!! We are sure the sheets were not changed on one. We had travelled 13 hours. And slept in one. It was a doggy end of the city. Halls smelled unclean lobby. No assistance from front desk in the morning.

In addition to the train going by that vibrated the room, there was a false fire alarm at 3 in the morning waking me out of my sleep sending me outside for an hour. There appeared to be no organization by the staff to ensure our safety nor did anyone come around while we were outside to provide information or take a head count to confirm the guests safety. Very poor communication and preparedness for what could have been a serious emergency.

It's a nice hotel with a good waterfront location close to restaurants and bars. The hotel is updated and nicely decorated and the room was comfortable. There is a strange smell in the hotel, my son thought it smelled like hockey gloves and our room and the breakfast area were very warm. Other than those issues it was good.
