The room was not in great shape. Example - several light bulbs were out.. Also it was very easy to hear people speaking in the adjacent room. The young clerk in the office was nice,

Cute little property--quiet and convenient. beds are really comfy.

The gentleman who checked us in was very kind. The overall place is a dump! So dirty, cracks in the walls, linoleum in bathroom cracked, vanity lights did not turn on, dirt in window sills and all over the corners of the floor. The carpet had stains everywhere, the bathroom toilet seat was broken, the place smelled, it was awful I couldn’t get out fast enough. Not to mention the smoking guests! The cigarette smoke was all over the parking area close to EVERY door of every room. It was an all around sketchy establishment. Oh and the door wouldn’t stay shut, we had to SLAM IT for it to stay out and the top lock didn’t work. Not safe.

Cute little place. Not a typical hotel. It’s more like camping cabins. Super basic but comfortable. Little bit away from the action but a short drive.

It was so nice to get away from it all. In the morning, when we walked outside, there was a perfect view of mountains, hills, and trees. It was really quiet, and the staff was incredible. Next time we return to South Dakota, we will be staying here!

Very nice area right in the hills. We can tob ride for wheelers and were able to ride right from the inn. Would definetly stay there again. The folks running the offices were super nice.

The room was clean and the location is beautiful. Only complaint was that the Keurig only had decaf. Who drinks that?

The room was nice and clean, the property provides bbq equipment and firewoods.
only downside is the double beds were full size instead of queen.

First of all the room that we had was tired and worn out. The lamps were very old, the clock radio didn't even turn on so it was left unplugged. I don't even want to think about the bedspread and carpeting.
No daily room service - no room service at all.
However, on the plus side, this place is in a great location! It's right in the Black Hills and close to Mt Rushmore, the 1880 train, Deadwood, etc.
If we were to visit this area again I would consider staying at this hotel again considering the price and what I know now.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet, but by no means ‘excellent’ as rated in hotels.com. The room was dark and gloomy. Bath towels were dark blue and I prefer white for hotel towels. Small bathroom. TV remote wasn’t user friendly. Needs some updating for an excellent review.

I stayed 4 nights. My room didn’t require cleaning, beds changed etc so I was not bothered by anyone. It was centrally located so I could get all my tourist trips in easily.

It was very family friendly.. they were nice to work with would stay again.. it was nice because we were about 20 minutes from crazy horse in 20 minutes the other direction from Mount Rushmore...

It was a nice room. We only stayed 1 night but was good.

Amazing stay. Room clean, beds comfortable, great family atmosphere. Convenient to both Mt Rushmore and Hill City where we enjoyed a great meal at Alpine Inn. Definitely would not hesitate staying here again.

Springcreek Inn is about a mile out of Hill City SD and close to everything. He Inn has both motel rooms and small cabins. We stayed in the motel room and while not elegant, the room was comfortable and clean. The owners are great and very hospitable. I would certainly stop by again and try and maybe upgrade to one of the cabins for a few more amenities.

Check in was a breeze. The decor is best described as 80's rustic, but the place was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Simple but clean. Great location. Inexpensive compared to many options. Would recommend for those who don’t need anything fancy.

Great location for visiting surrounding sites. Room needs some TLC but nothing we needed to complain about. Thad in the front office was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was receptive when asked. Parking is limited especially when there’s guests with motorcycles or ATVs and a car/truck.

When I checked in the lady didn't give me really any information. My husband later told me that we would have to buy ice from the hotel. It was okay, a little kitchy, and close to Hill City. There was a huge pile of trash outside our room, they luckily took that away before sunset. The neighbors were talking until 3:00 a.m. and the walls were paper thin. The light bulb was out and it took quite a while for them to replace it. It would not have been a big problem but the room was very dark. They use real keys instead of key cards and the handles of the door are quite loose from years of people trying to figure out how to open the door. It did not feel safe.

Not much to say, the room was clean and had everything it needed to have.
Parking was available right outside the room and there were no inside common areas to worry about. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be staying here again when we are in the area!

Perfect location! Quiet, but close to the attractions in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Would never have gone up to Spearfish Canyon if they hadn't recommended it. And if I hadn't gone up there I would have never realized Wild Bill was buried near there. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice little lodge with cabins and hotel rooms. Ice for $1.50 a big was handy! Fire pit doubles as smoking area, so we did not use it at night but enjoyed the Mountain View from the swing there in the afternoon. Lots of outdoor games and a play area. Hotel rooms do not have hairdryers, but they lent me one on the second request. AC struggles and they were receptive when we reported it. Very handy location for many of the attractions and the George Mickelson Trail, which was our main reason for staying there. Beds a bit soft for our liking but comfy.
