We absolutely love the location. Quiet corner of the busy city of Sydney, great food places just up the road, (check Stanley St!!), and best of all we could easily walk across the park to the city, where we met friends one night and went to the theatre the next day.
The hotel was quieter than we expected, staying on the weekend we thought there might be a bit of hotel noise but it was lovely. Sam the manager was super helpful at the end of our stay too, finding and returning a bracelet I'd left behind. What a fab find! Our new favourite place to stay.
It's an older style hotel with shared bathrooms - I like the style, it has character. No problems here for us. The bathroom was clean and roomy and close to the bedrooms.

Great location you can walk to CBD or buses just outside. Lovely room, comfy bed, welcoming staff.
Bathroom come laundry on our area was clean but untidy.

Amazing location for the price. Cute little pub with nice beers and food. Room was basic but had everything I expected.
Can be a bit noisy at night if you’re getting up early.

Good location, really friendly staff with a solid pub area downstairs and nice to have good coffee in the central area. The bed was comfy too but that’s about it…
Our room was just too hot. A small double room like this needs A/C or at the very least full size bug nets on each window to allow you to cool the room at night. It was also extremely dusty on top of furniture, TV and fan. A fellow guest decided kill a giant cockroach in one of the shared bathrooms and just leave it overnight. The drawers have several live small cockroaches and some that have died. I think for the price you would expect better. Obviously we cannot speak for all the rooms.
