Very clean! Real at home feeling! Everything you could possibly need! Definitely would recommend!

Quaint little hotel! Loved how big the space was, and it was close to everything. The stream behind the hotel made for a relaxing sleep, and it was wonderful having an oven for an occasional frozen pizza!

The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was spacious. The place was extremely clean. It's a beautiful spot in a quaint little village and there's some great dining spots nearby. The only drawback is it's a very outdated motel. I know the owners are slowly redoing a lot of the rooms so it will improve with time. However, it's a great spot for the money and we will be back.

Room was clean enough, but old. The grounds had not been taken care of. There was no staff that I could see.

The brook behind the property is spectacular. Being able to sit on the veranda and listen to the flowing water was relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and homey.

It was nice could update a bit but other that that it was comfortable and quiet would stay again

Great hotel

It's an old building, old and worn furnishings. But very clean, which is most important. I received a text from the motel the morning of the day I was scheduled to arrive, telling me my room number, the code to enter on the door to open it, and that checkout time was 11 am. When I arrived the code worked fine. The office was closed even though it was only 5 pm. There was a sign on the door saying "out of office, please ring bell if you need service". I had what I needed so I didn't ring the bell. The office was closed the next day, although in the evening a light was on. Next morning when I left, the office was still closed with the same note on the door. So I never saw a single employee during my entire stay! The office was in a big dark house right next to the motel, no lights on inside although there were many outside lights strung up in a decorative manner. My room had a glass back door that opened to a path that went the length of the building, the rest was woods. The door had a thin curtain on it and I have this thing about people or creatures looking in at me at night, so I hung one of the large bath towels on the door to provide privacy. I can't complain at all, this was the cheapest motel in the entire area. They gave me what I wanted so if you don't want to speak to anyone and you want to save money, this motel will do you good.

We were very comfortable with our stay! WE had plenty of room and everything was clean and met all our needs and then some.

Nice place to stay and explore the area.

It was an amazing trip and the room was beautiful it wasn’t what I expected at all it was big clean and homey I would absolutely stay there again

Clearly needs updating but was very roomy. Pretty clean but run down. I think next time I go I’m donating a flat screen TV.

Room i was in was updated, kitchen and bath very nice/convenient. Pretty quiet/clean. Only thing was no hooks or dresser/stand to put clothing bag on or hang wet gear/jackets. Widi..was iffy at times, but otherwise was a pleasant stay for our hiking trip.

Great little place with everything you need. Check I. Was via text with a pass code to the door and the wifi password. It worked fine but I am not sure what I would have done if it had not.

The room was just ugly. Not as advertized. Stained carpet, ripped couch, mold on the ceiling and more. So disgusting that we did not even stay there. Not as advertized ! How is that 9/10!!??

Nice and quiet place next to river.We spent two nights in there. I will come back.

I stayed one night while in the area. Very comfortable bed. Nice room, for an older establishment. Relaxing with a rambling stream behind, very soothing water running all the time. This I loved! Plan to go back later in the year and stay again. Note: no cell service but free internet so bring your computer!

We had the pleasant surprise of staying in a 2 bedroom, one living area, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms place. Very cozy, comfortable, very Adirondack. Just 10 min distance from Whiteface, we had a wonderful time. Straightforward check in and out. Will return anytime.

Very generous, full-size refrigerator. Room showed some wear-and-tear, but overall, not bad.

when I arrive there was no hot water. no staff was available . hot water was next morning. Room was ready when we arrived. I got password to door and wifi around 1pm on my phone. Price was great comparing to other available places in Lake Placid area.

It's old, but cosy ! It feels like going to a cottage. We had a great time.

Comfortable close to things we wanted to do friendly staff

Clean, looks newly renovated. Had a nice kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, strong Wi-Fi and very convenient location. The cafe across the road is also great. Would definitely stay there again.

I liked the size

The room was clean, and just about perfect for everything we needed on this trip. The guy at the front desk was friendly and nice. When we needed extra items they were available to us. The residents were friendly and helpful. The price was fair. We had a great stay and plan on returning.

Stayed in 5A . Pubic hairs in tub! The other tub had a sign saying shower only. Shower ceiling have mold and rot, all grout is bubbled and broken open full of mold. Walls in both bathrooms obviously are covered with mold inside. Beds were terribly uncomfortable, literally felt the springs in my back. Very out dated- tv from 1991, but the real problem was the obvious disrepair of the unit. No idea how this place is open with the issues in their bathrooms.

I did not notice when getting this there was no AC. But there was two fans so that helped.

The place is old, run down, and not appealing. Everything works and the room layout is great with two bedrooms and bathrooms and kitchenette. You get what you pay for. Don’t understand why it is rated 8 out of 10 stars.

Great stay! Room was recently renovated and very up-to-date. Full kitchen with new appliances. They are working hard updating and renovating this place.
