My fiancé and I wanted to get out of the city and decided on Holiday Inn Collingwood as it is only a 10 min drive to blue mountain.
We were extremely happy with our stay. From the cleanliness of the hotel, to the pool/hot tub/gym (the pool may be on the smaller side, but this was not an issue for us as the water was a beautiful temperature), to the updated rooms, and friendly staff (shout out to the housekeeping and breakfast staff, and Alex from the front desk), everything was just so much better than expected :)

This is my first choice for hotels when I go to Collingwood. It's a bright and clean hotel with the friendliest of staff! For our family of four, our first choice is always their spacious suites which have a great amount of space for post-skiing activities! The hotel is not that close to restaurants but it is close enough (approximately 8-10 minutes). However the Tim's across the street is always great for hot chocolate. We will continue to stay at this hotel as it is perfect for our families needs

The hotel was great overall. Lots of parking. The hotel was very clean from the lobby to the hallways to the elevators and the room. Staff were all wonderful. We didn’t take advantage of the pool or hot tub but they appeared to be in good shape. The pool was rather small but not a deal breaker when booking. Breakfast was good nice to have hot and cold options. OJ was fantastic. Wifi was good. Bed was comfy. Only complaint I had was the kids running around in the hallway but they quieted down by the quiet time set by the hotel. Would recommend to stay here.

Room not cleaned as originally informed, surprise cleanings at random intervals without notice as my stay was for an extended period of time.

We are from the states and our phones, internet, and gps would not work. Pat at the front desk went above and beyond to get us in our room at 11, check in normally 3, so we would have access to phone, internet, … we had several outings prepaid for that we would have lost our money on had she not been so on top of it to help us. She was knowledgeable, great personality, friendly and really cared. Without her we would not have been able to find our tours and would have lost out on about $400. We very much appreciated her genuine willingness to help us.

Pros: clean, new and friendly staff, great location and within 30 mins drive to most sites. Good to have simple comp breakfast
Cons: breakfast get crowded, bed pillows are limited -led to uncomfortable rests, we didn’t end up using the pool and hot tub because it small and crowded all the time while we were there.

The hotel is perfect for the price and location that they are. The only little thing is the space for the breakfast, in our opinion is too small for the number of rooms. But all the rest is perfect, we enjoy everything.

The staff were VERY FRIENDLY and so accommodating! We stayed there in the summer and will certainly be back! Breakfast was amazing also! Thank you for making our stay a VERY enjoyable one. We will be back for sure!
