Very clean, comfortable room.

Surprised by the clean room and super clean bathroom. The only downside of this place was no place for the dogs to go potty. Otherwise this very picky visitor was pleased with this stay. For the price you can’t beat it!

Booked for two nights but only stayed for one due to the awful experience. They did accommodate my late check in which was greatly appreciated but other than that, everything else was terrible. The first room I was given was filled with trash and obviously wasn’t cleaned after the last guest. Because that was the last king room with working card readers, we had to take a double room (which was also connected to another room with the peep hole taped off). This second room had bed bugs in the headboard that were dead but still disgusting. Neither the sink or tub drained properly and I the heater would creek and crack making for a terrible nights sleep. There was also hair on the beds and in the tub that made it appear that this room wasn’t cleaned very well either. I understand this being a budget hotel but this was not worth it at all. I have no clue how this hotel was rated so high— most of the reviews are not true.

Needs someone to buy it and put a lot of money into it.

Absolutely the best stop on our cross-country drive! We loved the clean, spacious rooms, the comfy beds pillows, the jacuzzi, the incredibly friendly staff, and the unusual layout of the hotel itself. We genuinely considered extending our trip by an extra couple of days just to spend more time here! If you're looking for a clean, quiet little spot with staff that will gladly bend over backwards to make your stay better - trust all the 5-star reviews. This place is a gem!

Yes it needs a sign out front yes they should replace the carpet with hardwood floors but the room was awesome it has so much character it looked like a set of like a Tarantino movie, and it had two sections and the price was incredible and the people are really nice

Disappointed in the room. One light didn't work. Light in bathroom was very dim. When we went to take a shower in the morning, the faucet fell out of the wall. Toilet seat was cracked. No kleenex in the holder. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn't opened yet even tho it says a restaurant is there.

A nice place for the money. My only criticism is that there was no in-room coffee, and the microwave was in a cabinet about three inches above the floor. But these are minor quibbles. Next time I'm in Emporia I'll stay here again!

I've liked the friendly staff and atmosphere since they opened.

This was are 2nd stay, it was great again.I would only like to let them know the bathroom outlet didn't work other wise no problem. We will continue to go there, we like the clean and friendliness.

Well, I had my reasons for staying there but when a place is half the price of everything else in the area you gotta wonder. The bed was comfortable and clean. Door didn’t close securely. You had to be your own plumber to make the shower work. How this got an 8/10 rating is beyond me.

Easy checking procedure. Friendly and helpful staff. Carpeted flooks in the rooms. Conveniently located near an interstate.

Was initially given a room already ooccupied. Tissue box was empty. No toilet paper in pool area women's bathroom. General atmosphere was uninviting. I like to support family owned business over a chain, but will not stay here again nor recommend it.

The room was updated, and clean. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor access to the room was convenient we could park right in front of our door. Staff was excellent.

Loved the shower and bed was comfortible glad was on one floor sin e have trouble climbing stairs.

We paid less than $50 for a double and so it was about as expected. Dingy, shower didn’t work properly so most of the water stayed in tub and got super hot while the trickle from the shower head was tepid. Beds were comfortable though! Pretty bad pillows so bring your own. Bath towels were half size and only had 2 for a room that sleeps 4. Front lobby is nicer, hot tub is closed. Nice staff that got us more towels when we requested them. You get what you pay for, and we didn’t want to pay any more for one night. The area is so-so but I didn’t feel unsafe.

Bathroom had some issues, but did not worry about it. If it had been my apartment, of course it would have been an issue for me, but for a 1 night stay I wasn't bothered by it.

Only issue we had was the remotes not working

We had an interesting stay here. I think it's an old Red Coach Inn maybe. Anyway, it's a motel, not a hotel. For most of the rooms, you park in front of your door, which is great IMHO. Upon entering, our room smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. My wife found a dead bug on her top sheet. There was a live one in the fridge. I guess nature happens. We had about 4 sheets of TP in the bathroom, total. So, back to the front desk we go again. I didn't have very high expectations for the price we paid and they were met. The bright spots were the staff, who were amazing and the beds, which were incredibly comfortable! Would we stay here again? Probably not. But we tried it.

It was worth the money. Pleasant staff and all in all a great value. TV was lacking for a movie channel but nothing serious.

It is an older place, but friendly service and a quiet stay.

Excellent place to stay. Clean, beds were very comfortable. I have stayed here several times in the past year and i have not been disappointed. They have an indoor pool that you can actually swim in (most places dont have usable pools anymore). You definitely get more for your money staying here.

First off they said they had no available king beds even though we had reserved one, then the first room they assigned us had people already staying in it. The beds we got were so small we did not get to sleep together! The toilet continued to run after you flushed it so my husband had to keep fiddling with it. The towels were so small and thin after you dried your hair and face it was soaking wet! The dead bolt on the door did not work.
