The Matild truly was a luxury hotel. Perfect location to explore Buda and Pest! Clean and comfortable! The service was awesome!

It is an excellent hotel with very professional and helpful staff. I stayed for 3 nights, and the room was superior and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, coffee is just right. I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel. The best one we stayed at in our entire trip in Europe. The only negative was one night we had the make-up room light clicked on but it was not done but that was only a very minor issue that didn't bother us or affect us at all as when we notified the front desk, they sent someone immediately
The facilities on site was amazing! The turkish bath house, steam room, salt room and sauna + relaxation area was out of this world. The bed was the most comfy and luxurious bathroom made the stay absolutely perfect

I never take the time to actually write a review but the staff at this hotel is truly extraordinary and the hotel itself is pretty good as well. The restaurant Spago is delicious - I had a Scallop Pad Thai that was amazing, and they served me even though the kitchen had closed 10 minutes prior. I had the 90 Minute Hammam Treatment at the Spa and it was an unbelievably luxurious experience. The concierge helped me book a private river cruise, a walking tour with a great guide and helped me book dinners outside the hotel - I didn’t tell them much about what I needed and yet they nailed it - notably my dinner at Borkonyha was AMAZING, I was truly overenthused by all the flavors, the wines. 10/10 would recommend, the room was really nice with warmed floors in the bathroom, japanese toilet and balcony with a great view. Must visit.

The views from our balcony was fantastic and the room was great. It was very convenient to shops and restaurants. We ate at the restaurant Spago which had delightful food. We also were able to have a cocktail at the rooftop bar - the atmosphere was amazing - My only suggestion is make a reservation so that you have the most optimal view of the city!

This hotel is absolutely amazing. I’m known for brutal reviews on here. Loved this place. Room was awesome. Best hotel room of entire multi city trip. Would come back to Budapest and stay there again. Bed very comfortable, view amazing, food amazing- both room service and restaurant. Location awesome. Service, best I’ve experienced in awhile. Can’t say enough about how good this hotel is.

Fabulous hotel, new, ultra-modern, beautiful from the outside and inside, excellent rooms, good food but above all is the service, all of the staff are absolutely welcoming and helpful.

Magnificent - From the front desk to concierge services to the fine dining at Spago (kudos to restaurant manager, Aybars Tasdan). We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The exceptional staff was gracious and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. Excellence throughout. The elegant hotel is beautifully embellished and maintained. We have already recommended the hotel to peers and colleagues.

the hotel, hotel staff and room are perfect! The service/ staff and breakfast are outstanding and I will stay here again. Highly recommend the room and staff in the hotel.
However, a huge word of caution when it comes to visiting the rooftop bar- The Duchess- they spoilt our evening two times in a row. The hostess is extremely unfriendly and was intentionally creating a hype about the popularity of the place. The rooftop bar was half empty both nights but they insisted on the first evening that we leave in 2 hrs when the whole area was empty and the second night they handed us the cheque 1 hr 20 mins after we arrived. Then they pretended to say it was a mistake etc
Matild management- so close to having a perfect stay. Super sad to say that the Duchess staff spoilt the first two nights.
Please visit the regular bars in the city- the people are friendly and accommodating and it’s truly busy not the artificial hype The Duchess is creating. Cheers

The Matild Palace in Budapest was amazing. It opened a year ago after an extensive renovation so everything was clean and new. Staff was over the top friendly. Spago’s food was off the hook! Their bartenders were very entertaining too.

I have traveled around the world and stayed at many propertries. None have paid attention to detail greater than Matild Place, from the check in host, the appointments in the rooms, the fine breakfast that I encoursge to purchase up front. The roof top bar, I could go on and on. I will be back. The kicker was providing me a care package for the ride to the airport at 4AM.

The building regained its soul at least, after so many years. And what a soul it became! An old palace with bold interior design with the touch of XXI century. I was very happy to be there, enjoying the comfort, the hospitality and the fabulous design.IMHO the best hotel in Budapest.

Amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment you entered, to the moment you left everything was perfect. Its also what you expect at this price point. Its expensive, but if you want a real luxury experience this is the real deal! :
