The Honey House is in a beautiful location looking over the river. The family are so friendly and helpful and it is so quiet with just the sound of the gurgling river. We ate here the three nights we were here and it was great to experience true Albanian home cooking. Everything was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed having our own private balcony.

The room was OK, very happy with the airconditioning. There was a little terrace in the front. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was served outside with a view of the Vjose river. Honey-House Kastriote is run by a lovely family who really looked after us. Location excellent, just a short stroll to the centre. The home made fig jam for breakfast was just delicious

The room was quite dark, we always had the light on.

Evening, the views, the animals and the owners were all lovely

Nothing to dislike

We stayed as 2 couples, mid September for 3 nights. Wonderful hosts, really looked after us. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of animals around, felt very homely. Nice seating areas overlooking the river to eat, read, relax. 5 minutes walk to town but very quiet as Honey House is tucked away. Layout is one main sitting/dining room with a double and single bed in it, bathroom is off this room, and another room with double and single bed with balcony and a fridge. There is one aircon in the second bedroom so we had to keep the bedroom door open at night to cool the main room down. There is no kitchen, but some glasses, crockery and cutlery if you want to eat. Excellent communication with hosts. We booked fantastic rafting and fishing trips through the family's tour operator business Illyrian Adventures.

The bathroom was clean but there was a very unpleasant smell, possibly from the drains. Bathroom floor was very slippery after shower used, a slip mat would be good.
