Clean and comfortable. Great to have a free shuttle to and from the airport. Staff and process are efficient.

We have stayed at the Sun Day Apartments several times as it provides an easy overnight option near the Athens airport with an airport shuttle. We like that the hotel is very close to a big grocery store, the beach, and a number of beachfront restaurants. The hotel provides basic rooms with a bed, small refrigerator, and bathroom. Each time we stayed, the rooms were clean, and we had a balcony overlooking the hotel grounds which were nicely landscaped. It is important to note that this is a no frills hotel.There is a coffeemaker, glassware, and other amenities in the common area on the second floor, but this is not a place designed for long-term stays. The airport shuttle is the big plus for the Sun Day Apartments; however, you need to be aware that the shuttle only takes people TO the airport in the morning from 6:00 - 11:00 and brings people FROM the airport from 15:00 - 22:30. If you need a ride outside of these parameters, Sun Day Apartments can provide you with contact info for a driver they recommend at a cost of 25 euros. You will probably need to ask them for this information. When we needed a ride to the hotel outside of the shuttle hours, the local taxis and Uber quoted us a fare of 50 euros for the 10 km ride from the airport to the hotel. We ended up using the rideshare app Freenow and only paid 20 euros. While the employees at the hotel and the shuttle drivers were all helpful and accommodating, communication via WhatsApp and email was extremely frustrating to us. Each time we requested a ride (always at least 48 hours in advance), our initial contact went unanswered. We had to follow-up with another round of emails and texts to ensure that we actually had a ride to or from the airport. Better communication would have been greatly appreciated and would have made our stay less stressful.

Location to airport and market. Very clean commons areas and room.

Shuttle to airport didn't start running early enough for us. Room is small.

Location near beach is good if you have time to use the beach. Transfers were good and staff were friendly.

There was what looked like two small blood staina on the bedsheet and it felt a bit grubby, like they have hoovered and changed the beds but not deep cleaned between guests. It was quite loud, with no doors being soft close so you could hear guests coming and going with their doors crashing closed from the early hours - the fridge is also very noisy. Not the comfiest beds.
