Two days before booking the host kindly offered to allow us a later check out time, but then also sent a bill for an additional $200 stating that VRBO has an additional fee for each person when more than two people are staying, and that VRBO forgot to charge us when we booked and paid for the room more than 9 months ago. I reminded her that I had a paid receipt showing a reservation for 6 people and if VRBO did indeed make this error, that was between her and VRBO, but I would never have reserved the room for this rate. She told me it was out of her hands and refused to allow me to cancel and get my money back. VRBO informed me that a host cannot add any charges after payment and that they have nothing to do with extra person charges, that is all up to the host. After 4-5 hours of phone calls with VRBO, and the host continually insisting upon this extra payment and that it was not her but VRBO insisting on these extra charges, the case was finally forwarded to the Violations Team and they refunded me and also paid for a hotel room. This was a stay for my son’s graduation from Mizzou, and we assume that the host realized that other properties were charging exorbitant rates and that, as pretty much everything was booked up, we would be desperate enough to pay her. We did not stay here, worried that she would find some other way to add on charges such as made up damages fees, as it was clear she was being dishonest with us about the extra charges.

Didn’t stay

Very clean, and felt like home. The only thing is I didn’t look close enough to realize it wasn’t a full kitchen which was my mistake so we just had to go out for dinner which not a big deal. But overall a wonderful place. Nice neighborhood and an amazing host that responds quickly with any issues you have

The property was clean and a great place to stay. We could hear the dog at times but it was minimal. We would definitely stay again

This property was very nice. Nice neighborhood, close to Mizzou, private, and the bed was very comfortable!! I will definitely be staying again!

Very beautiful place. Very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. We come a couple times a year to visit our daughter who attends University of Missouri. We would stay here again.

On the application, this property was said to sleep 7. However, four of those were queen sized air mattresses, and one was a couch. Very good neighborhood and travel distance from Mizzou campus. Family that lived above was pleasant but loud at points. Small children crying and dogs barking made for a few earlier mornings than expected, but overall a good stay for a short period of time.
