Marcel is an excellent host, very quick to respond before and during the rental process. AC throughout the apartment and bedrooms are in back of building on a park, so cool and quiet. Lots of nice towels, kitchen is well equipped and all have the essentials! You can see Sagrada Familia out the bedroom windows. We enjoyed the apartment and location very much.

Marcel met us at the property, walked us through the property and advised us on the surrounding area and Barcelona itself. He also had a cold bottle of Cava wine and bottled water in the fridge for us. Finally, he also called and reserved a cab to the airport. First class all the way. Highly recommend renting this property and will do it again in our next visit.

This apartment is as represented, very clean and modern. Marcel was super efficient, responsive and helpful, and met us upon arrival to go over details and make sure all was in order. The kitchen had necessary items including coffee, olive oil, a few spices and compliments of Marcel a bottle of cava and a large water. The apartment is only a block and a half from Sagrada Familia, but somehow is removed from the chaos of the tourists. It is a secured building in a very safe area. There are grocery stores, fruit markets, cafes and restaurants within the surrounding blocks, and a Metro station also is nearby. The space has a view of Sagrada Familia from one of the bedrooms. There are shutters to block out light in the bedrooms, which are very quiet because they face an interior park and playground that closes at night. The beds were quite comfortable as well. While there was some noise from upstairs neighbors, it was nothing more than one would expect from any urban apartment. The air conditioner worked well and was much appreciated after long days of walking. Finally, it should be noted that the location is an excellent base for exploring Barcelona. Many areas are within walking distance, and for places further afield the metro is just a few minutes away. Sants train station is also just a few stops away on the L5 line. (And for those who don't want to take the Metro, Marcel kindly offered to arrange a taxi if we had needed it). We had a great stay, and hope to return.

Our stay was amazing. We enjoyed the comforts of home, while being in beautiful Barcelona. Marcel was easy to work with, gave us some great recommendations and even arranged a 5:00 a.m. taxi pickup to get us to the airport on day of departure. Five star stay all the way!!!

This apt was fantastic for my sister and I for our travel in Barcelona! Great street, easy to get taxi! Loved the central air conditioning. Two separate bedrooms with large beds and two bathrooms!! We did not do any cooking but the kitchen and dining area is adequate for sure! Check in prompt, friendly, checking out was a breeze. I would say 2 couples or a family of 4 would be the most the apt could hold comfortably. Great place!!! I did book this apt 6 months in advance of my stay and was very happy I did!!!

A wonderfully maintained apartment with all necessary amenities (towels, shampoos, dishes, etc.) Marcel was great to work with. My wife and I had never been to Barcelona and Marcel met us at the apartment, walked us through everything, gave us some great restaurant recommendations, and answered several questions about the area. Super friendly and accommodating, great communication and follow up. Great neighborhood, too. Never felt unsafe, even late at night. Would definitely stay here again.

We just returned after 5 nights at loved this apartment. Marcel was an excellent host - very responsive. Lots of room for 4 people, very comfortable and clean, and the view of the Sagrada to wake up and fall asleep to was amazing. We were concerned that the A/C would not be able to keep up with the heat that summer in Spain brings but it totally did! Barcelona is amazing and this apartment was a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day after lots of walking, eating and sightseeing. Marcel is amazing, great tips on shopping and what’s open. We happen to land on a Sunday and then a Monday Holiday. No Farmacia no shops but touristy places and food. The location to La Sagrada is incredible!! Saw the church lit up at night from bedroom window, don’t worry, they don’t chime at night….all is quiet. Loved getting the real community living. Apartment is clean and well stocked.

Newly updated, clean, and modern apartment on 2nd floor with an amazing view of La Sagrada. Open the windows and enjoy the bells. Comfortable beds, lots of storage, plus TWO bathrooms. Excellent A/C. Marcel greeted us and stayed in contact for our entire stay. The only reason for four stars overall is we could hear the neighbors above and next to the unit and we had to use earplugs all nights. Be sure to get piroshki at the restaurant next door. They might even give you a few shots too.

Location and service are the key words to describe this VRBO. We were literally within steps of La Sagrada Familia and our host made sure our stay was perfect. We very highly recommend this VRBO.

From our arrival at 230am, through all communications with Marcel, we can’t emphasize how happy we were with everything. The flat was spotless, very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped Overall, Marcel seems to have thought of everything! Staying for 9 nights allowed us to feel a part of the neighbourhood and we were able to explore Barcelona easily from this location. We loved this flat and would highly recommend it!

We very much enjoyed our time in the apartment. It is modern and up to date, very clean and made for such a great place to land after long days of sightseeing. Marcel was so welcoming and accessible for any questions. The kitchen is very usable for light cooking of meals. The area is less congested than some of the more touristy areas, which we very much appreciated. The grocery is very close by as well as several good restaurants and the Metro lines for the train station and beach are just a few blocks away. Would recommend!

The apartment is very updated and modern. It is close to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, one of the largest attractions in Spain. You can see it from the master bedroom! The space is very comfortable and spacious. The air conditioning is great which may not be typical of these rentals. The stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The host, Marcel, could not have been more pleasant, helpful with tips for tourists and responsive to our needs.

This property is exactly as stated. The location is the best, close to everything you need and want. Sagrada Família is minutes away and something you must do. Marcel was awesome, he meet us at the property for check in to help us settle in. He answered any text sent-mostly restaurant suggestions-within minutes. We will definitely stay here again, because we will definitely visit Barcelona again. Thank you Marcel for everything!

Marcel was very accommodating. The apartment had all the conveniences — as well as water, coffee, soda and wine. sleeping accommodations were comfortable and quiet. The location was very accessible to metro and sites. Enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely, modern apartment. It's well equipped and comfortable. There's a closeup view of La Sagrada Familia from the window of the second bedroom. The host is very accommodating and personable. We enjoy walking and explored Barcelona on foot.

My brother and I just left this morning after 8 days and I could have written a review starting on day one. There was nothing about the apartment, the location, the host, and our stay that wasn’t perfect. Marcel was kind and very helpful on a number of occasions. We needed this get away after the passing of our father and Marcel kindly was able to adjust our dates to accommodate and it was everything we wanted and expected from the listing. We will return and recommend to all our friends.

Marcel was the Best! We missed our connection and had to stay in Paris for the night. He assured us it was no problem. When we got close to his apartment, he came out to greet us and take us to the apartment. He was so kind and made the checkin simple as could be. The pictures were spot on. The unit was sparkling and the beds were a dream to sleep on. We wanted some authentic paella and he told us about La Gravina, which did not disappoint. We were literally around the corner from the LaSagrada Familia. Not more than 25 steps away. This was my first time in Barcelona and I will be back, hopefully to stay with Marcel again

Fantastic location! Buses and metro are steps away.Super clean apartment with perfect amenities. Although it says "king" bed in the description... if you are from the USA do not expect a king size bed ...they are queen size but very comfortable. European bed dimensions are different. The true star of the show here is Marcel. The best VBRO host i have encountered. Excellent communication... great recommendations and he even got up at 3AM to make sure our taxi to the airport had arrived. Don't hesitate.

Marcel's place was not only beautiful but impeccably located just a few blocks from the Sagrada familia. There are many markets close by so we were able to get everything we needed and were able to cook meals in the well equipped kitchen. We brought our 19 month old with us and the apartment itself was perfect for a family. Marcel went out of his way to ensure our comfort and was attentive to all our needs. Would definitely stay here again.
