Great house in a great, quiet location just outside of Stanthorpe. Perfect base to explore the wineries and the beautiful countryside, whilst also being only 5 minutes from the centre of town.

Amazing home, so well appointed and comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything so you can just walk in and enjoy.

Location, Fireplace

The house was in a great location—close to town—and spacious enough for two families, with plenty of potential to be a lovely stay in autumn or spring. However, there were a few things that made our stay less comfortable than expected.

The house was very cold, and aside from the fireplace (which didn’t heat the entire space), there were no other heaters provided. This makes me assume it would also be very hot in summer, as there were no air conditioning units. The hot water in the showers wasn’t really hot—especially uncomfortable in such a cold house. The stove light didn’t work, which made cooking difficult; I had to use my phone torch to see. There was a coffee machine, but no coffee capsules were provided, which was a bit disappointing. We also received a note on arrival mentioning a quick changeover and asking us to text if we left earlier than 10am. It made us feel rushed before we had even settled in.
