We really enjoyed our time at this cottage. It was a great location within a few steps of the beach. It was clean and comfy and had all the things we needed. It was very cold and windy outside, but the house was warm and great to spend time just hanging out in. Will definitely be back!

This is a great cottage. Proximity to the beach and the fenced in yard cannot be beat. It is nicely decorated and comfortable. Thank you for letting us bring the pups! We had a wonderful time.

This house was a little gem. It seemed like an original beach house, with a decent amount of room, window air conditioners and fllor heaters. It was very comfortable. The interior design work was on-point for the season. The kitchen had many amenities. You supply your own linens, towels but there is a washer and dryer to use if needed. Our 30 lb dog loved to run in the fenced back yard. It was a short walk to the dunes and then to the beach. The fire pit and wood was a nice plus. The hosts answered questions in a very timely manner. It was a great experience.

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. Description exactly as described. Fenced in yard for our pets a plus! Attentive homeowner answered questions promptly. Friendly neighbors. Quick walk to beach. Highly recommend! Hope to return soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The king bed was SO comfortable. The inside shower is a little small but having the outside shower helped with that.
The dogs (and humans) appreciated the fenced in yard. Super close proximity to the beach!!

Loved the quiet peaceful laid back atmosphere. Like the shore in the 1950's. If you like beaches with no crowds, to walk your dogs maybe surf fish, then this is the place. If you like night life , not for you. A few miles away in Milton you can find all you need for dinner.

Had a lovely stay in early September. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is just steps away.
The cottage is nicely updated but still comfortable. The bed in the master suite is wonderful! The kitchen is nicely equipped with everything a family would need.
The owners have a lovely welcome guide that makes suggestions for local restaurants, that was very helpful.
My dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard, and it was lovely to walk them on the beach in the mornings.

We thoroughly enjoyed the property and it was a great size for us and our two dogs. The master bedroom is very spacious and the fenced in backyard a plus for the dogs. The proximity to the beach is fantastic and you can walk to the general store if you need anything. The host was very accommodating with our check in due to our travel plans and was very communicative. Thank you! Well stocked with everything you could need. Would definitely go back to this place without hesitation! Thanks for the great holiday.

Our family had a great time at this cozy beach house on Broadkill beach. Witnessing 4th July fireworks on the beach was an awesome experience. The house was just perfect for our family of 3 and a dog. The easy access to the beach was a huge win along side the well equipped home. My daughter loved the books and games collection and we all enjoyed the entertainment package on tv. My dog also had an amazing time and even made some beach buddies.

This is a very beachy property! It’s close to the beach with a nice screened porch, well-stocked kitchen and 3 bedrooms. It’s an old-style, 1 story place with a small bathroom. It has everything you need (including beach chairs and toys) if what you want to do is spend time at the lovely beach. Best of all, your pets are as welcome and comfortable as you will be. We highly recommend this place! The owner Lisa left extra treats for the dogs and a mat for the floor (on request) that helped our old dog get around. Thanks, Lisa!

We booked the house for four nights with our family. The beach was only steps away, the property was very clean and the owners were very accommodating! I would highly recommend renting this property!

This was a perfect getaway location for my husband and I and our two dogs. The updates were great and the home perfectly stocked and organized. It was just enough space for us and the screened in porch and fenced yard made it ideal. Thanks so much we will definitely be back!

Broadkill Beach truly is just steps from this little house. My husband and I were there in the spring, so not swimming weather, but it was great for walks on the beach.
The house worked well for us and our very old dog (who didn't take advantage of the fenced back yard as much as younger pups would). We liked the old-fashioned-but-renovated quality. The primary bedroom is very large, and the bed's really comfortable. The kitchen's well-stocked. One note: bring ALL linens, including dish towels and bathmat.
Lisa was great with communication and suggestions.
I gave the location 4 stars rather than 5 because we concluded we like to be a bit closer to restaurants, supermarket, etc. But that's just us!

My wife and I took advantage of a beautiful weather window. On short notice we were able to seamlessly book the Sea Shanty and enjoyed five days of peace on a quiet section of Broadkill Beach. The cottage had all the necessities to cook if desired, beds were comfortable and a short walk brings you to a nice section of the beach. We would definitely love to return to this hidden gem!

My parents, husband, puppies and I had a very relaxing stay this Easter weekend. The cottage is small but we made it work. Lisa was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions.
The area was very quiet during the weekend but there was a lot of construction going on come Monday morning. Sadly this little cottage was surrounded by mega beach house construction.
The very best part about renting here was that every morning you can walk about 50-100 yards to see the sunrise on the beach.
If you’re looking for a small space with your pups to be super close to a natural beach this is the place for you. ☺️

We had a nice time at this small cottage a short walk to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, great screened-in front porch. Very quiet area. The fenced back yard - fairly empty but not flat - worked out well for our 2 dogs.

We had a lovely stay at Broadkill Beach. Lisa was always in communication with us…answered any questions quickly. She left us a wonderful gift bowl full of local goodies…even dog treats. The bungalow was plenty big and comfortable. Our 2 small dogs had a great time especially being so close to the very dog friendly beach.
The only thing that could be improved was the shower which was kind of cramped, but there was plenty if hot water. The rest of the bathroom was fine.
Would definitely come back again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this house. Broadkill is a real hidden gem with beaches that are not crowded and beautiful surroundings. The house has been nicely renovated and comfortably slept 6 when we stayed there. It also had a nice grill and fenced in yard.

This was the perfect location for a quiet get-away. The home is very clean and well supplied. The screened in porch is lovely to read, eat meals, and relax on. The beach is lovely and not crowded. Nice, friendly community. We loved paddling our kayaks in the Prime Hook Natural Area and around Lewes. Great nearby bicycle trails, too. Thank you so much. We hope to return soon!

Lisa was a great host and great with communication(went above and beyond). House is very cute and clean. The accommodations were amazing (had everything there we’d need for towels, linens etc) They put a lot of pride into the remodel and the items that they have at the house are nice quality. The fenced yard is priceless. Not many houses (if any) have fenced yards at broadkill. The beach is so close, you’re really just about on it.
