Anthe is charming, a splendid host, uniquely so in our experience, taking care that we had what we wanted without being intrusive. She filled our fridge with fruit, wine, and much, much more, all top quality. Although the flat is small, it doesn't feel so as both the open plan kitchen and living area and the bedroom are of a good size and large windows face a view over the olive groves to the mountain. Also, there is plenty of cupboard space for clothes, suitcases, food etc. We like her taste in decor. Right outside the front door there's a bench, chairs and table with an awning you can adjust to suit the light or the weather. Her garden is prettily laid out with a lower terrace given over to another dining table and chairs, a small table with fantastic views, loungers and a large pool. The lower garden is filled with fruit trees, oranges, pomegranates, olives. Parking is simple, on the cul-de-sac outside her front door. We were sorry to leave her and her home.

Anthe's View is a perfect getaway for couples who want to relax in beautiful, calm surroundings. We were delighted to find that the hosts had thought of everything in the apartment – from the provision of some basic supplies to a comprehensively stocked kitchen, it has everything you'd need for a stay of any length. The views across the valley and down to the sea from the terrace and pool are amazing, and we felt we had real privacy and could take every day at our own pace. We also loved that the family have some friendly pets – a dog and a couple of cats – who like to stop by and say hello on occasion. Anthe and the family were also exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay.

This isn't so much a downside as a condition to keep in mind – if visitors don't have a car during their stay, they will be reliant on taxis to visit Heraklion, beaches and surrounding sites like Knossos, or go to the grocery store. All of these are within 15 minutes' drive or less, and we were glad to have hired a car.

logement merveilleux très beau propre tout équipé rien a redire un havre de paix dans les hauteurs un grand merci à Anthe pour sa gentillesse et ses petites attentions fruits , oeufs, etc .MERCI
