Why charge N3000 extra for after paying the standard hotel rate? Was told it was because i did by booking from booking.com
Hotel charged 20k but was made to pay 23k, they said 3k will be going to booking.com

As is unfortunately common in Nigeria, the hosts tried to scam us from the moment we arrived. They immediately demanded around 20% more than the price we had booked through Booking.com, claiming that the listed price was incorrect and that the actual rate was higher. Of course, we refused to pay extra.
The funniest part? They even showed us a price list—but then added an extra 15% just because we had booked through Booking.com! Absolute nonsense.
Dinner was overpriced, and the portions were laughably small. Breakfast was supposedly included, but in reality, it was only one breakfast per double room. A joke? No! We had to pay extra for the second breakfast.
