The Pod is very close to castlewellan town and only a few mins drive from Newcastle. So close to shops, cafes, pubs and the beach. Everything that is needed is close by no matter who youre staying with (partner, kids, friends)
Nothing about the place was disappointing however there was no TV or wifi and service was not good in areas of the pod, however it did not really affect the excellent experience

Self contained and private.
There were slugs in the shower! I didn’t use it. The wifi didn’t work at all but I had enough signal to connect via data.

We stayed overnight as a family of 3 and loved it. The pod has everything you need: a double bed, sofa bed, private bathroom with shower, and a small kitchen complete with a stove and utensils. The outside patio and BBQ area are fantastic. It’s a very quiet, relaxing spot and the perfect base for exploring Newcastle and Castlewellan. Highly recommended!
Don't forget to bring your own firewood for outside BBQ or inside fireplace
