Amazing sunsets overlooking Lake Michigan!
Benvenuti al Cottage Dune con una vista incredibile sul Lago Michigan e sull'isola di Beaver. Affacciato ad ovest in ogni tramonto, questo cottage a 3 piani recentemente ristrutturato è stato costruito tra le dune in un periodo che le attuali normative impediscono. Tutto quello che vedi dal grande mazzo è una vista panoramica a 230 gradi del puro lago Michigan. Abbiamo una spiaggia privata e una camminata di 100 yarde dà accesso a 3 miglia di terra non sviluppata protetta e incontaminata lontana!
Il cottage appena ristrutturato comprende tutta la nuova cucina, elettrodomestici, 3 nuovi bagni, illuminazione, mobili, pavimenti e decorazioni. Quattro camere da letto sono abbastanza spaziose da ospitare comodamente fino a 10 ospiti. Immerso nel parco statale di Fishermans Island consente l'accesso a 2800 ettari di terreno protetto per escursioni e caccia in stagione.
Il Dune Cottage è convenientemente situato a soli 12 minuti dal centro di Charlevoix. Charlevoix vanta un nuovo porto turistico e East Park, ristoranti unici, negozi, mercato degli agricoltori ... Non c'è una posizione migliore a Charlevoix. Ci sono molte opzioni di campo da golf a poca distanza dal cottage. Anche lo sci sulla neve nei mesi invernali è facilmente accessibile.

The Dune Cottage sits up on hill overlooking a 180 degree view of Lake Michigan. The place is wonderful for a large family gathering with adequate space for dining and comfortable sleeping. It does have a number of steps to navigate, and if you are a senior, it can be challenging. The only downfall I see is there is no actual sandy beach directly available to the property. What appears to be your beach is the neighbors, and she patrols and guards her precious beach. Once she finds out you are a renter, she will make sure you do not mingle there on a daily basis. The beach you can use is 200 yards south and it’s quite nice, sandy, and pretty. Enjoyed the sunsets and rock hunting. Would rate this place a 5 star if it wasn’t for the angry elf neighbor.

We had a wonderful time here. The view alone is worth the trip—if I could give it 6 stars, I would. We’ve visited Charlevoix many times but usually stay closer to town. This was our first time staying near the state park, and we’re so glad we did. Tucked back among the trees with the water just beyond, the property felt private and peaceful while still offering easy access to the beach.The home was a great value and had everything we needed. One thing worth noting for future guests is that there is no traditional air conditioning. We mistakenly assumed there was, which was our oversight, but it may be helpful information for others. The whole-house fan did a nice job of keeping the house comfortable.We also found ourselves setting up at the state park beach, which was a short walk away. We had initially pictured being able to set up directly at the house, so that’s something to keep in mind. It wasn’t an issue for us, and the provided beach wagon made hauling gear much easier.The reason for the 4-star rating was cleanliness. Overall, the house was in good condition, and we understand it’s an older home. There were just a few areas that could have used a little more attention, and some of the updates showed signs of wear. Nothing major enough to impact our enjoyment, but enough that it didn’t quite feel like a 5-star experience.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would gladly book this property again.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Dune Cottage. The lake views are even better than the photos— we woke up to the water every morning and ended every night watching the sunset over Lake Michigan, which never got old.The house itself was just as great. Spacious, clean, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. It struck the right balance of comfortable and well-appointed, and it was clear that Anne and her family take good care of it. Plenty of room to spread out and relax after a day on the course / by the water.Zero complaints. Check-in was smooth and the whole place lived up to expectations. We’d happily book again and recommend it to anyone looking for a lakefront getaway. Thanks for a perfect week!
