We stayed in March (cabin #16) when nighttime temps dropped near freezing. The heater worked well, but the floors were drafty, warped, and uncomfortable—bring indoor shoes, and consider kids who play on the floor. The plumbing is outdated (cabins date to the 1970s). We needed a plunger several times, and the tub leaked and wouldn’t drain unless you held the mechanism down. Hot water was plentiful but very hot—supervise children. The kitchen is minimally stocked, and there weren’t enough paper towels or toilet paper for our family of four during a 3-night stay. The cabin layout is well-designed, and the surrounding area is beautiful. It’s conveniently located near Hochatown and Beavers Bend, but not in the most congested areas. However, it’s close to the highway, so we could hear trucks at night.

Quite little get away

Cabin was clean and had all the necessities.

There were knives with no handles in the drawer, not to mention only one steak knife. So yes there were open blades just laying around. The main large butcher knife that was there is so dull it wouldn't even cut through a tomato. The stove element had to be propped up with a butter knife because the heating element was hanging into the stove. The shower was stopped up, I tried to plunge it but it still just slowly drains. There are big gaps in the blinds where it looks like a dog tore an 8 inch square out, and the blinds are the 5 ones so they can be very easily replaced. Spend a couple of dollars and put a few more ice trays in the refrigerator rather than one.Just constructive criticism here.
