Ando Living - Santa Justa 77 House

Fantastic location.

Not great if you are not mobile and want to rely on taxis as it is along a pedestrianisned restaurant street. The apartment had alot of neglected maintenance and incomplete maintenance.

The apartment was bigger and more spacious than it appears in the photos, which was a lovely surprise. The view was fabulous - lots of windows and very bright. (The two photos are of the view in one direction during the day and evening.) Several doors between the two bedrooms (down different halls) meant the early risers didn't disturb the late ones. The beds were really comfortable and each room had a safe. We very much appreciated that the place was stocked with paper towels, coffee, etc, and that there was an option to have the place cleaned every day. The location is right smack in the middle of things, which is very convenient and fun. It also means you can't expect quiet evenings, but the windows did a lot to block it out. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The only problem we had was that we were only sent the code to get into the apartment building, not the apartment itself. The property has WhatsApp, so I tried to contact them through that, as they advertise that they are available 24/7. However, they don't accept phone calls through WhatsApp and they didn't respond to chat as they promised. We had data packages for our vacation that didn't have phone numbers, which meant that one of us had to enable roaming - at a fee - in order to call their phone number. But they problem was sorted out and we got the code. Unfortunately, the next day, the code stopped working and we had to enable roaming for a second day. This time, they gave us access to the key, which solved our problem. I reached out and complained about the cost we had incurred due to their technical issues, and - after several days wait - issued us a refund for that amount without any further hassle. I very much appreciated their responsiveness, and would unreservedly recommend this place and Ando Living. We really enjoyed our stay.

Size and location was great.

We really loved the location of the apartment – it was incredibly convenient. It was very easy and comfortable to get around on foot, and also simple to reach public transport to travel to many beautiful places nearby. We also liked the apartment overall, its style, and how easy and smooth the check-in process was.

Unfortunately, our overall impression was negative. While the apartments seem to have been very nice and well equipped in the past, we had to spend a lot of time communicating with support because many of the lights and lamps in our apartment were not working. As a result, the apartment felt quite dark and uncomfortable. We also had a completely blocked sink, with water not draining at all. This was fixed after one day, but we had to live with the issue for a full day and spend our time communicating about it. This is something that could have been taken care of before our arrival if proper checks had been done. In addition, the internet connection in the apartment was quite weak, so we were unable to use streaming services.
