Our room/suite was lovely, bed comfortable
Very pleasant bar area, in my husbands words feels like a proper pub( high praise indeed)

Great location for travelling around the Peak District and nearby areas, no noise from the M1 with the windows closed. Room was spacious and clean, and really nice to have our own patio. Great breakfast was included in the price, and the staff were super friendly.
Mattress was very soft but that may be a personal preference. Security lights outside illuminated the room all night despite the curtains. Stayed during the week and seemed to be a lot of business travellers, whose early starts were very audible from the room.

Beautifully clean and lovely room. Good breakfast and welcoming.
Would have liked a little more milk sugar, tea, etc, in the room. Milk was particularly low and couldn't make a morning cup of tea.

Staff was very friendly
Good location
Rooms had a strange musty smell and were dirty upon arrival (window sill covered in dead bugs, table was sticky on the top, crumbs on the floor)
Toilet was blocked
Tv didn’t work, even after informing the staff no one came to the room to try and fix it
Truck stop on the property which can be noisy depending on where your room is
Charged £15/night which we were told was a “dog cleaning charge” but the room was not cleaned every daily so the charge seemed overpriced compared to the room booking
