Hotel Du Lac Locarno

Great location, close to restaurants, a park, the lake and the train station. The apartment was a great base for our stop over before catching the Gottard to Zurich. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was nice and the room was quiet and pristine. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location. Nice breakfast with Coffee.

We came to check in and the lady at reception started to check us in. Then other guests arrived. She then stopped checking us in, despite our insistence that we were in a hurry. After complaining, the hotel explained to us that the hotel offer check in by 3 PM, and the staff does not speak English fluently. We are appreciated that the hotel offer check in earlier. However, the above 2 reasons are not sufficient to convince us. Thus, in my opinion, that was an unbelievably rude and offensive behavior. I have to assume perhaps she is xenophobic. Other staff are friendly.
