The staff were amazing, friendly welcoming, made me a cuppa as soon as i arrived. Theres a lovely smell of scented candles in hall and kitchen, with tea, coffee, breakfast and food offered. The place is full of character and characters, the kitchen is the hub, with eclectic items and memorabilia. The hostel has a dog and cats so you get that family vibe. As a solo female I booked the female dorm which has a secure code and up the stairs bathroom and shower facilities were woman only. My bed (i chose the bottom bunk) was comfy and the sheets smelled fresh of detergent. My roommates were friendly. There were charging facilities and anything i wanted or needed was offered by the staff and guests i met. It was only a 10 min walk to shops and restaurants and 15 min walk into the city centre. Its located in a leafy student part of liverpool. The value for money is amazing.

Its not so much i didnt like as the property is a 300 year old building, but some of the communal stairs and landing were a little shabby for some travellers who are looking for pristine and sterile. But if you like shabby chic with fabulous art throughout and arty, boho vibe then its for you. I really enjoyed my stay and felt like i was staying with a family. I would definitely stay again.

Property was great, location was lovely and staff were amazing! Such a welcoming place that as a woman on her own staying in a hostel for the first time I felt completely safe and at ease!

Did get quite noisy during the night but it was a match weekend and would have been just as noisy in a hotel so can’t fault the place for it!

Charming location and kind staff. Big selection of free hot drinks, and plenty of cereals, bread and pastries for breakfast.

My bed 😊 when not out && about 😊 the shower but the button needed to keep being pressed in && the lock on my door was broken 😞 kept saying it would be fixed, but was broken the entire time of my stay x Kevin the manager is a legend

Other people staying there Causing trouble && asking if you’re ok every 20 seconds Creeping around in the middle of the night && standing outside my room Foreigners asking the British where they are from all the time 🕰️ They should know better && that it’s ignorant! Nadia needs to know how to knock on your room door 🚪 (the chamber maid) Just charged in when I was getting dressed Bob talks in riddles && insults you Others saying all black people are related, when they’re foreign themselves - the ignorant hatred needs to stop 🛑
