Ibis Padang

I stayed in Ibis Padang a total of five nights on a recent trip to Sumatra Barat. The hotel was generally excellent, with a reassuring reliability of room quality and service. When one room fell well below the quality I expect from an Accor hotel - fusty, broken fittings and other 'unwanted extras' - after an exhausting day, leaving me quite upset, the desk staff and then duty manager went out of their way to make things better. I really appreciate that level of customer service; indeed all the staff were so very helpful and accommodating, despite often being very busy - I know that, with my bicycle, I wasn't the easiest guest to deal with! I hope they're well rewarded for their dedication. A sincere thank you for your contribution to a very memorable holiday.

Just that one anomalous room, as mentioned above.

The beds are super comfy, great value for money and a cool sky bar upstairs with the best lychee martini’s.

The pool is a bit off site, hidden away behind a car park. A shame.

good facilities and services. Nice restaurant at roof top with nice Padang town view. Not so much breakfast variety. Overall good stay

There wasn't much to like really. It was ok, clean room, reasonable bed, BUT I did like the round pillow :). It was a one night stay before going to the airport. It sufficed, nothing more.

The breakfast was awful, 100% Indonesian, chef doing eggs was lazy as. Only coffee in the hotel was instant, such a shame for a country that grows coffee. The hotel also smells of cigarette smoke, even on our floor whcih was supposedly non-smoking. It's time IBIS stopped smokers from smoking in the hotel.
