Hostel, Rooms and Apartment Ceklin

The location was great and helped by the complimentary bike hire, it was easy to get into Bohinj. The property was very clean and the staff were generally friendly. We explored the surrounding area, including Bled (very accessible from Bohinj), everyday and therefore did not spend much time in the apartment other than to sleep and shower and change for dinner. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for someone wanting to spend more time in the apartment. Although it had cooking facilities we didn’t use, a fridge in the room and a hairdryer.

The property was quite noisy, we could hear a lot from other rooms and the house attached to the hostel / hotel. I appreciate that it was also a hostel and we were in a private room.

Great location. Lovely host. Ability to cool meals a plus. Lots of fridge space. Lots to do in surrounding areas. Rooms functional but not luxurious.

Kitchen in need of a refresh of utensils and cookware. Shared bathroom was tight space, but manageable.

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and very clean and comfortable, with a lovely private balcony and amazing views. The kitchen was well equipped and kept constantly clean, and the hosts were incredibly generous with keeping it well-stocked with breakfast items and eggs, as well as a cupboard full of other food guests were welcome to use. The toilet and shower were also both immaculate. We made good use of the free bikes, which were also in great condition! We felt right at home :)

The location for us was great. You can walk from the house to see the Mostnika Gorge, which is a beautiful hike. The possibility to use bikes for free was also very useful. This way you can get to the beautiful lake within minutes. Since parking is charged for almost everywhere in the surrounding, it was great having a safe parking for the car and leaving it there as much as possible. The host, Helena, who lives with her family downstairs, was very friendly and told us about a local traditional event. (Unfortunately we had to leave before it happened). The kitchen was very useful and the grocery shop is very close to the house, as well as a restaurant (rather high priced).

For us it was great having a kitchen to use, but the equipment was extremely old, not sorted, including loads of useless stuff, also food ingredients.... The shower, which is a tiny separated room, worked really well, but the shower curtain needs replacement. Guests should be aware that the room is upstairs and the staircase rather narrow, esp.when carrying luggage.
