We enjoyed our recent stay. We were able to have our boat safe and nearby without having to launch each day. Dam into the private dock is not always passable due to tide level, so a little homework was necessary but not a big deal at all. This obstacle was worth dealing with to have the boat there. House was clean and well stocked. We plan to return. Thank you!

This is a wonderful large house with a big open floor plan. Very comfortable with everything you need. Very nice home owners who were very accommodating and communicative. Beautiful quiet location. Thank you!..;)

Bring your kayak!

We loved our stay at this property. We choose rental homes over resorts/hotels because they have personality. You could tell from the friendly, responsive hosts and the details around the house that this property is a part of a family. We enjoyed peaceful walks around the neighborhood, playing the retro board games and pinball machine, and simply just hanging out as a family. The town of Oak Harbor is a short drive and has all the stores you could need. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the appliances worked great. Our favorite was the super quiet washer/dryer. :) Some tips for staying here: * If you are used to blackout shades in your own home, you may want to bring a sleep mask. We live in the PacNW, so I am certainly not complaining about sunshine...but the sun does brighten up the house a little early. The small bedroom was the only one that stayed dark, much to the delight of my teenager. * To close and lock the wood door, lift up and push in from the outside (this was a very convenient feature for getting wood into the house for the fireplace. Much appreciated)

It was a relaxing environment. Nothing major in terms of issues. Greatly enjoyed the neighborhood, beach walks and the cannel. The house makes you want to be more musical!

Great time! all amenities we needed. BbQ grill could b repaired or replaced. But we made it work.

Every carpet was stained. Both showers appear to have black mold in the grout. Human hair on surface of one shower drain. Both beds had human hair on the sheets. One even had stains and skid marks. The bedding pillows and pillow cases were extremely stained. We had to replace everything at our own expense. Under the guest bathroom sink was a box of syringe needles, syringes, and both marked and unmarked vials of liquid. The kitchen floor was sticky so we cleaned that too. The BBQ was dirty and crusted making it unusable. This is by far the worst house we have ever rented through VRBO. On the positive side the beds were very comfortable. The view of the area was beautiful and it was a friendly and quiet neighborhood.

Comfortably and homey. Beautiful views, enjoyed walking the beach a few times. The beds are comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet, even with construction on the house next door. Fully equipped kitchen made cooking easy. We didn't use the televisions, wood burning stove or music system. We did play a few games of pinball. As mentioned this was used as a home base for a job and housing hunt, so we were really only at the property at night. We would stay again.

Great location with beach just across the street a we loved the house deck with dock attached! The house was just perfect for our group of 7. It was well stocked for those who love to cook! Definitely could use a little update on decor and maintenance on a few areas. Broken drawer and shelf in the kitchen and light switches were a struggle to figure out.

So many good things to say of this property including its amenities, location, and the property management. It decided to be kind of stormy while we were renting, so we fully appreciated all the indoor rainy day activities. We played with the pinball machine, played pool, but discovered that we really love ping pong . Also played some old (retro) board games. The small back yard was perfect for our dog. We brought our portable dog corral and our gas firepit so any time it was not raining we ran outside to play with her and sat by our fire. We didn’t use the deck as when we arrived we found that the umbrella on the deck was left open and during a wind storm it shattered the glass table. I contacted rental management and they immediately jumped into action and within 20 minutes they had a cleaning crew come and clean it up ! I was very impressed by the immediate response and resolution they provided. The neighbors were soooooo friendly and welcoming, anytime we were out in the neighborhood there were waves and smiles and a few introductions. Lots of things to do on Whidbey island so many beaches, hikes and forts to explore. The house itself has an awesome atrium which provides a lot of natural light. If I had suggestions for the owner/ management it would be to update the couch, as it definitely has seen better days. We didn’t mind, but some might. The other thing would be to get the pocket doors fixed so the rooms can be separated. Again it was just my husband and I so it didn’t matter to us, but if there were 2 couples it would be better if there was a way to shut the doors to the 2nd bed room and the master bath. That said, we really enjoyed our trip to this property, and turns out , it was one of our favorites! We would definitely rent again. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful place with us!

Location was perfect for our family fishing trip! The property manager was very quick to respond and bent over backwards to make sure we had a pleasant stay and a great time! Would definitely book again!

Up close, this house is in serious need of some major repairs. Where to start? Broken doors to bedrooms and the master bath and a broken lock on the back sliding door. Privacy isn’t the only issue here, obviously. THheres big things like that and then there’s lots of little things such as no working batteries in any of the half-dozen remote controls. You say you’re into playing Billiards? That’s a joke, this “table” wouldn’t work as a buffet never mind the “games” advertised. Then there’s the fact it’s advertised as pet friendly. Another falsehood. I didnt know it at the time but the entire area isn’t really pet friendly the way I think of the term. You get a lot of house and the dock is great if you bring your own boat but beware navigating low tides out of the marina, the coffer dam won’t allow passage of boats with any more than 2’ of draft. Of course we weren’t informed of this fact until the day before our arrival. Overall, I’d avoid renting this house if I were you
