Beautiful, luxurious and spacious apartment. Extra attention to detail for comfortable stay including providing toiletries, iron, hairdryer and ironing board, TV in each of the the bedrooms, fully equipped beautiful kitchen and lovely touch of books, board games and leaflets for local activities. We all loved the apartment, relaxing in the lounge, eating together at the beautiful dining table, great night's sleep for everyone in each of the rooms and overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reception in the Lakes wasn't great so delayed there was communication with host but they were always accommodating and receptive. We were able to visit Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness with ease enjoyed a number of boat rides. We will definitely book again, thank you Karen!

Very spacious, and well kitted out apartment, especially the kitchen - definitely the best one I've stayed in for self-catering. The top floor is a little oddly arranged, being all open plan due to the roof beams I suspect (including bedroom & bathroom!), and I felt this could have been better highlighted in the details. It didn't really matter too much. I was disappointed that the sofa bed wasn't made up when we arrived, but this may have been our fault for not stipulating who was staying (perhaps this needs to be asked specifically in the booking process). But there were plenty of spare sheets, pillows, duvets, covers, towels etc., so not a big issue. My biggest issue with the apartment was that it is quite noisy, especially on the upper floor where the master bed is. Not sure why as all the windows were double glazed and we shut them at night, but traffic and sea gulls clearly audible nonetheless. So, not great for light sleepers I would say. The location was ideal for us, in a small town with amenities very close by and great to walk up the hill to the monument for a fantastic view. Karen was extremely helpful for the couple of queries that we had and reacted very quickly to get things put right, so I cannot fault her as a host. She didn't even mind being called up when she was clearly away having a break herself, so thank you Karen!

Great apartment in the middle of Ulverston. Very clean, really well equipped and spacious. Karen extremely helpful and communicative throughout the stay. Would highly recommend.
